2.0 out of 5 stars Only for *really* advanced flyers., June 14, 2006
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Watt-Age P-51D Mustang 370 EP RTF V2 (Toy)
First of all, this model airplane is NEVER for those people who are relatively new to this hobby. I will describe the reasons below. Secondly, I do not think that those "advanced" flyers would bear the settings of this plane (underpowered, BIG time), so even if you are good at flying these low-winged fighter planes, you should prepare to spend considerable amount of time and money to improve the performance of this plane.

Pros:
1. All in one, relatively cheap - but prepare to spend more for repairs and modifications.
2. Durable construction for a model air plane, easy to patch up.
3. If you have the skill and money to upgrade the power train, then you could experience a brilliant flight experience.

Cons:
1. UNDERPOWERED! - according to the wind, it is very hard to take off, and this unbalance of P/W ratio makes her -
2. VERY EASY TO STALL! Once she stalls, the motor does not have enough power to let you regain control = head-on encounter with the mother earth.

It is highly recommended that you change the original motor to a decent brushless motor (ask your local model-airplane-expert hobby shop owners!). Then you would really enjoy the real potential of this model airplane.

..Or, you could just buy the Parkzone-made P-51..

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money!, May 14, 2006
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Watt-Age P-51D Mustang 370 EP RTF V2 (Toy)
My son received this for Christmas from his grandparents and he was so excited to get it out and see what it could do. It took a good long while to put it together, and much to our surprise it was made of plastic and styrofoam! For $150, we were expecting something much more durable. While reading through the manual, we were also surprised and disappointed to learn that with a full battery charge we should only expect to get 4-6 minutes of flight time out of it before the battery went dead. That didn't matter, however, b/c after only a couple of attempts at flying it, the plane made a "crash" landing and part of the plane came apart. Spend your money elsewhere, b/c you'll only be disappointed with this product!

1.0 out of 5 stars Total Junk!!, September 18, 2008
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

Save your money, this thing is junk!! I had to return this R/C airplane once due to defective radio equipment and incorrect propeller shaft. Upon receiving the replacement, I found the rudder servo would run continuously, stripping all associated gears. Rather than spending more money in return shipping, I opted to keep it and buy a replacement servo on my own dime. I should also add, replacing the servo entails completely disassembling the fuselage, breaking all factory seals.

Expect to completely readjust all control arms and align servos. Ailerons have minimal throw and are completely out of adjustment from each other. Motor run time is 2 ½ - 3 minutes and extremely under powered. It hardly flys at full power. It is quite apparent that this thing was just thrown together at the factory without any consideration to quality control.

Buy a Parkzone for only $30 more. It's a much better R/C trainer. The Parkzone Corsair in particular.
