The Toshiba 7WA19WW is a good LED light bulb. Very nice for the price. I got mine from 1000Bulbs.com during their 2011 Cyber-Monday sale. This was a one day sale where this model of LED bulb was sold for $4.99. Needless to say, I stole five of these babies for that price that day! Thank you 1000Bulbs.com!!
I have a lot of experience with LED light bulbs, having equipped much of my home with them. All of my exterior lighting is now LED, and just about every lamp or fixture that stays lit more than an hour per day has an LED bulb. We do still use a few CFLs, and have stray incandescent bulbs in fixtures that are hardly used.
I use two other types of 7 watt LED bulbs that I picked up from different vendors, and the Toshiba 7WA19WW compares equally to them. It has a compact A19 shape, and will work well in just about any light fixture. It will work especially well in ceiling fan fixtures and overhead fixtures where the bulb faces down. I put one in a standard table lamp and it also works just fine.
Don't be fooled by the specs about this bulb's brightness. The package and the specs say this bulb replaces a 25 watt incandescent bulb. It is much brighter than that, and is probably closer to a 50 watt incandescent bulb. My other 7 watt LED bulbs also seem brighter than their specs claim.
LED light bulbs are the wave of the future. Rising energy costs are going to be a common theme as the 21st Century moves forward. People are going to look for ways to lower their energy footprints in order to rein-in these costs. LED light bulbs are one way to do this. Figure this: LED light bulbs use roughly 85% less electricity than incandescent bulbs, and 35% less electricity than CFLs. They will ultimately pay for themselves and deliver several years of additional savings. How can you not like that, especially when you can get these bulbs at half-price like I did?
