The dual-vent option is great. Better instructions would help, but a little patience with the sketches on the box and you're good.

The black-topped port is what they all have, a cap you loosen to allow automatic venting. If you take the red cap off and stick a pointy thing (small screwdriver) in, you get instant venting, useful when you've just done something that put a bunch of air into the system.

The flapper tab on the bottom is cheap plastic, which I suppose works fine, but brass would be better. Still, compared to Taco brand and others I've used, this is easily the best. I've gone through several vents, looking for one that's effective, and this is it.

My boiler had a problem and fortunately I had this as a spare because the plumber didn't have one on his truck.
