5.0 out of 5 stars Fine Stuff in a Short but Fine Book, July 6, 2009
This review is from: Wave Crest Ware: An Illustrated Guide to the Victorian World of C. F. Monroe (Paperback)
A short but extremely helpful guide to the Wave Crest Ware of C.F. Monroe.

What became known as Wave Crest, was Opalware which was manufactured (for the most part) during the Edwardian era for the carriage trade, but which looked back to the opulence and decorative complexity of Victorian objects. Wave Crest (and Nakara and Kelva) was manufactured only from about 1898 through 1916 -- a short run that yielded a number of exquisitely-decorated objects.

96 pp, illustrations throughout, over half of them in color.
