This is a great item in you're in the market for a crimper. In fact, it's the only one I've been able to find in the last couple of years. As a straighter, it works fairly well, but not as single-purpose straighteners. The plates are easy to change, and there is a locking mechanism to prevent burns while you are heating or cooling the styler. However 1) there is no on/off, you can only turn it off or on by the plug and 2) there is no handle and the plastic heats up quite a bit. Overall I would say it's a decent quality item for the price.
