Very disappointing book. Not enough content for price.,
By John M OConnell (St. Clair Shores, MI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Wave 3 Way to Building Your Downline (Paperback)
I bought this book because I thought it would teach me techniques on building a downline (hence the name - "Wave 3 Way to Building Your Downline"). There are tons of stories on how people got into MLM, failed, stuck through it, fought through hard times, and with persistence made tons of money with an MLM company. These stories really don't tell you people's techniques on building a downline. There maybe a pointer her or there, but the majority of this book is just filler (Joe didn't make much money, joe went to MLM meeting, Joe was mad it was an MLM meeting, Joe joined MLM anyway, MLM failed/went out of business, Joe joined different MLM, went through tough times, Joe then made tons of money). Most titles of each chapter in this book refer to a technique or concept. And each chapter is nothing but a couple MLM success stories POORLY based around the subject of the chapter. Maybe about 5 % of each chapter really develops on the technique or concept suggested by the chapter's title. The rest is, as I've said before, nothing but MLM success story telling. If you took the filler out of this book, you'd have about 5 to 10 pages worth of valid information. I use a highlighter in every book I read. This book is about 220 pages long. I try to underline everything that's important. For the majority of this book, I only highlighted a sentence or two every five pages. I had a hard time giving this book 2 stars. I really wish I could have given it 1 and 1/2. If this book had cost 5$ instead of 10$, maybe I wouldn't have had such a hard time giving it 2 stars. Don't expect to learn the ins and outs of building your downline from this book. Expect a load of MLM hype instead. TIP: Always be wary of a book that has nothing but 5 star reviews. In this case, I bet Richard Poe (considering he's an MLMer, he probably knows lots of people), talked to some of his MLM buddies to come to the websites and give him a bunch of 5 star reviews.

Outstanding! A must read for anyone involved in MLM,

Having read and been very impressed with Poe's first book Wave 3, it was only natural that I read The Wave 3 Way To Build Your Downline. Am I ever glad I did, because it was in this book that I discovered my current MLM company that has finally put me on the real road to financial freedom after searching for the "right company" for many years. If you are currently involved in Network Marketing or you are considering getting involved, you owe it to yourself and your downline to read this book.

Another Poe winner!,

This review is from: The Wave 3 Way to Building Your Downline (Paperback)
Poe's two Wave 3 books are totally enlightening, entertaining and useful. He is at his best laying out the future of network marketing. Network/relationship marketing is the wave of the future, and Poe paints a clear picture. More and more, friends are going to be buying all sorts of goods and services from friends, and on the internet. And when friends buy from friends' *websites*...WOW! If you *really* want to understand what's financially possible for someone with a burning drive for lots of money via network marketing, read the Poe books. They'll keep you up nights! Anyone who still thinks of network marketing as "peddling soap door to door" or "pyramid schemes" is about 40 years behind the times and just doesn't get it.

Excellent resource for anyone thinking of joining a MLM,
By Kay Hedges (kay_hedges@mcg.mot.com) (Phoenix , Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Wave 3 Way to Building Your Downline (Paperback)
This book provides valuable background information on multilevel marketing for someone contemplating this type of home business. In addition, it realistically portrays traits that are required to succeed. The accounts of previous experiences and how people struggled to be successful are of interest to a beginner in MLM. The practical applications and suggestions are beneficial to building a profitable downline. Anyone not willing to follow these suggestions will encounter unnecessary difficulties. There are many examples of people who have paved the way for MLM as it is today. The theme of the whole book is to provide a realistic picture of the pitfalls and benefits to be expected. Like anything else in life, if you are not willing to learn from others, you will make the same mistakes. This book provides helpful information for those who are willing to learn.

You find valuable information how to get started and it tells you how to judge if a company is worth or not to join. This book was no where near as good as Poe's first Wave 3. Very shallow. If you are serious about the industry, spend your money on Mark Yarnell's new book, Your First Year in Network Marketing. It's truly outstanding!

The Wave 3 Way to Build your downline,
By Jason B. (Sparks, Nevada United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Wave 3 Way to Building Your Downline (Paperback)
After spending all of one night reading the first Wave 3, the next day I went and bought this one. Then I spent all night reading this book. (No sleep in 2 days) If there was ever a way to look at the misunderstood industry of MLM/Network Marketing, or if you ever need inspiration from real stories of real people who have made-it. Than this is a great book to read

A MUST For Any Network Marketer, Experienced or New!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wave 3 Way to Building Your Downline (Paperback)
This book is a MUST for any Network Marketer. Whether you are a 'newbie', a 'big-hitter', or just contemplating the fact of whether or not to join the Network Marketing industry, you should get your hands on a copy of this book. This book is instructional AND motivational. Basically it is a compilation of case studies of big hitters in the MLM industry. All the individuals featured have had endeavors with MLM in the 'wave-two' days and have failed. Each chapter describes a different individual who went from just Average Joe (or worse off), all the way to the top of the ranks AND how they did it!! Hopefully, this book will help YOU TOO build a successful GIANT organization as I am using it to build now. Dave |
