5.0 out of 5 stars Tabache's Second Wonderful CD, June 18, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Waves of Rush (Audio CD)
Aidan O'Rourke and Claire Mann have successfully released an amazing second CD with "Waves of Rush". The two of them combine to form a wonderful sound. Aidan plays fiddle, and Claire alternates between fiddle and flute, often playing both in a single track. These two young musicians can certainly play the jigs and reels; the energy they display on tracks such as Waves of Rush and SlipSlide is inspired. Claire's vocals are also top quality, especially on the great, upbeat rendition of "The Newry Highwayman". The entire album is littered with many of Aidan's compositions, which are the highlights of the CD in my opinion. Especially noteworthy are the reel "Waves of Rush" and the beautiful slow air "The Quiet Place". This CD definately belongs in any celtic music lover's collection.
