I was given this product by someone who truly believe it works. I decided to look it up on line, to see if there was any information about the product and its claims. This is what I found:

This is the official page of the Federal Trade Commission. I was certain, when given the product, that it was not what people thought it was. Some people have purchased this piece of rubber with a small screen for $20, which is a shame, considering that the FTC report states that the same thing could be accomplished with a piece of (albeit, unattractive) cardboard. Before purchasing this item, consider that: 1. This product is more or less a placebo for those who are afraid of radiation overdose. 2. Limiting cell phone use, which the FTC recommends, accomplishes the same thing, as do hands free devices. 3. $20 is a lot to pay for a little piece of rubber with screen.
As for those of you who will buy this product anyway, to ease your own minds, it's a rather annoying addition to my phone's ear piece. My phone is a flip phone, and it will not close all the way with the WaveShield on it. The piece is also just backed to stick to your phone like a sticker, and I doubt very much that it will last long, I give it two weeks tops before it slides off the phone due to hair/dirt/etc.
In this economy, it's necessary to make smart decisions about our purchases. This thing is worthless AND Useless. That, and I most certainly would never buy anything from a company that plays on our fears.
