For countless number of years I have always used Vaseline as a moisturizer for my lips. I live in Arizona and with dry air it's hard finding a product that doesn't absorb away quickly without putting a lot on. I don't wear lipstick. Regular lip balms are okay but I honestly can't stand the fragrance put in most of them. Waxelene is very smooth and soothing and makes my lips feel soft for a long time. It even gives them a satin sheen unlike the obvious glossy shine from Vaseline. The combination of soybean oil, beeswax, vitamin E oil, and rosemary oil creates a natural mellow fragrance and it doesn't bother me at all. I highly recommend Waxelene. If you're concerned about the price, don't be, because a 2 oz. jar will last a long time.
Update - October 21, 2012 - I previously wrote about this 2 oz. jar lasting a long time. I'm pleased to say 6 months after my purchase my jar is only half gone. I use Waxelene two to three times a day to moisturize my lips. It doesn't absorb away like other products do and I no longer carry a tube of other moisturizer with me when I am away from home for the day. My lips stay soft without any additional help. It's great!
Second Update - May 13, 2013 - I just used the last of this jar today. So, that's been about 1 year ago I started using it. Pretty wonderful, high quality value for $6.99! Granted, I only use it in the morning and at night and really you don't need very much at all to moisturize your lips. I'm ordering more today.

I saw this at my local drugstore and looked it up on Amazon before buying it to read the reviews which is why I must write one myself. At home on the night I bought it, I rubbed a bunch on my dry hands and had excess, so I rubbed it on my face and on skin that was exposed in the "V" of my sweater. The next day I woke up looking like a pufferfish, but I didn't make the connection to the Waxelene. The skin around my eyes was puffy, irritated and looked awful so I tried to cover it up with makeup and I looked like a cute pufferfish. I still looked like a mess the following day. I wasn't sure it was the Waxelene until I saw a burn-like rash developing in the shape of the "V" on my sweater and it was horrific. I showed my Dr. and her reaction was one of shock to see such a perfectly formed V-shape pimply yucky rash. Finally, after the reaction on my face and chest, I did develop some red welts on the back of both hands. I have never had this reaction with petroleum jelly or Burts Bees. I also use Bio-Oil, Cetaphil, Nivea, Nutrogena, and Olay products and none of them have given me such a crazy rash. This may work for some or even most, but I wanted to spare all new users from the potential pufferfish look. It took about a week for all signs of this reaction to go away and thankfully, I didn't use it this week and before an event this upcoming weekend. You are warned.

This is a great all natural alternative to petroleum jelly. It have the same consistency and doesn't have a taste or smell. I use it in all the same ways I used to use petroleum jelly. It is definitely pricer than petroleum jelly but it's all natural. I would definitely recommend.

This is definitely my new petroleum jelly. Wonderful fragrance. I use it to keep my lips moist and it's great to use on your hands. Use it especially around your cuticles and as a hand cream. Keeps them really soft. Thanks.

i was looking for a non-sticky product to protect my skin from the harsh winters of Chicago. Vaseline did the job but i was never comfortable with it on my skin as it always felt like a layer of sticky substance on my skin. It does a good job of protecting the skin (like a plastic cover) from outside. I was looking for something that could penetrate and hydrate my skin and was natural as well. I heard about waxelene as an alternative to vaseline and was tempted to try it. The first thing i noticed was the smell which was minimal but very natural and the smooth texture did definitely feel like it was natural. After trying it the first time, i could feel like my skin can finally breathe despite applying a layer of moisturizing cream. The next morning my skin was noticeably smooth and hydrated. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have the MOST sensitive skin ever! Skin allergies, eczema- I react to so much. I am pleased first off that this product has no synthetic chemicals! It is such a bad choice to put chemicals on your skin since the skin is the largest organ of absorption. The smell to me is very herbal and earthy, honey-like. I actually love it. Now for the results: OMG! This stuff rocks. I have tried it all and this is my holy grail! Excellent for excema patches, as a lip balm, skin protectant for the face (leaves it very dewey and glowing) and evidently gentle enough for me to use it and it truly works wonders in so many ways! I will never be without a jar!

In years past, I've used Un-Petroleum Multi-Purpose Jelly 3.50 Ounces as an all-natural alternative to Vaseline, but the Alba product tends to get runny and gunky after a few months. I thought I'd try Waxlene this time since it comes in a hard formulation. I really love it! It goes on smoothly, and works perfectly as a substitute for Vaseline. I've been using it a lot on my lips, too, and it stays on well and has a neutral taste to it. This is a really good product!
