Try the other version of "Waxing Off", June 18, 2003
This review is from: Waxing Off: Delicious Vinyl's Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
For some reason, Rhino records decided to re-release the "Waxing Off" compilation, which was put out two years earlier by the original Delicious Vinyl label. Although the compilation is still pretty good, containing great hip-hop tracks such as "Runnin," "Wild Thing," and "Bust A Move," Rhino replaced two of the original songs with inferior material.
While the original "Waxing Off" contains "Mentirosa" by Mellow Man Ace and the outstanding "Bonafide Funk" by Brand New Heavies feat. Main Source, this version replaces those songs with "Know How" by Young MC and "Cali's All That" by Def Jef. I suppose if you're looking for either of those particular tracks, this would be a good purchase, but for a better overall album, go for the original "Waxing Off" compilation.
