This book has gorgeous, vivid pictures that invite even those too young to read to learn about the first Chrismas. Biffi covers the people present at Christ's birth and presentation, along with the Saints associated with Christmas and includes Biblical references. The text is appropriate for young children (I bought mine when my oldest was two), but deep enough to capture the interest of older children capable of reading quite well on their own. Vignazia's images on each page are captivating and stir my children to ask questions about what is happening to Jesus and and the other figures.

I WISH this book was still in print and so do all my friends. Hopefully the publisher will reissue ALL of Biffi's and Vignazia's children's books. I know most of my friends would be interested in owning their own copies.
