A gem that deserves to be discovered,

This review is from: Way Down Here (Audio CD)
This overlooked Toronto-based band plays rootsy Americana style music -- very melodic with excellent harmonies and reverb-soaked guitar. Check out this band if you like the Jayhawks, Wilco or Neil Young. It's no wonder that beloved Canadian rockers Blue Rodeo hand-picked them as the opening act for their current tour. Blue Rodeo's Greg Keelor also produced the record, providing a full sound for a strong batch of songs ranging from atmospheric folk-tinged rock to more uptempo fare such as "It's All a Blur" and "Promises." "Need You" closes out the album perfectly with its hypnotic and melancholy fade out. This is a band well worth discovering for yourself.

Saw these guys live with Blue Rodeo during last years tour through the US. Way Day Here is a solid album. Sick of the monotonous stuff on the radio then pick a copy of Way Day Here. Follow Me is one of my favorites off the album -even gets my 3 year old son singing along.
