A great, upbeat song that keeps you going., May 9, 1999

This review is from: Way (Audio CD)
I always liked upbeat songs like this one. I would easily get bored listening to oldies on my car radio, but since this song is played every day or two it perks me up. It's not the kind of song you would play if you were, say, doing homework or reading, but it's great for upbeat activities and even parties. I definitely recommend this single if you're suffering from depression; it helps.

Greatest song of the millenium!, February 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Way (Audio CD)
I had given up hope of ever hearing a decent new song in the 90s til I heard this one! This is the first song I've heard in 10 years or more that has made the list of "Last sound I want to hear before I die" songs. (only about a dozen songs on this exclusive list and I've been around for a while!) I love Tony's voice and the way he and Miles harmonize together. Miles' guitar solo is HOT HOT HOT!!! It reminds me a little bit of Hotel California (see I told you I've been around for a while) but it's more happy and upbeat. And Joey is a fantastic drummer, that Latin beat really reaches out and grabs you. I also loved the imaginitive lyrics. I think he hit on a universal fantasy everyone can relate to--with all of us having jobs we hate, dysfunctional families, annoying relationships, etc. who wouldn't want to "just drive off and leave it all behind them"? This song is so burned into my brain circuitry that one night this summer when I was about to go home from my job (a definite "exit to eternal summer slacking"), my car wouldn't start and I had to go find someone to give me a jump, and instead of mumbling "Oh s__t!" like normal people I was walking across the parking lot belting out "AND WHEN THE CAR BROKE DOWN THEY STARTED WALKING!" What can I say, I'm totally obsessed with this song and this band!

I liked the video and the song is really cool, and as for the tape it didn't dissapoint, lots of times you buy a CD and are disappointed but not with Fastball. The Moose Is Loose

Spice it up!!!!!, October 23, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Way (Audio CD)
I think these fools should get a special class from the Spice Girls, they rock!!!! This song is fairly short, and the change in rhythm is annoying. Please listen. On the radio it is great, I admit. But whenyou plop it into your stereo and lay down on your bed to just rest or read, the song has a bad constrast with your activities. Also, it is annoying at parties, because the lyrics aren't good, you never not know your way at a party, and people don't dance to it, they just yell "Hey! No, take that off. Try my CD!!1" That is all my info. It is still catchy on the car, though. There it makes sense and it does have the power to cure those friggin headaches you get in a vehicle during rush hour. Overall though, for most people, this song is good. I know this because almost all my school bought it and they always comment that they listen to it after classes. (They hate it a t parties though). I don't know why, but I am the average oddball, kinda like Fastball(get it), and I am possibly the only breathing person who hates this song. What I say is becareful before you buy, if it is YOUR way of going, well then by all means buy it. Yet if you were dropped off at the mall when there wasn't anything good to buy, and you happened to have a Jackson in your pocket, don't just dump it at the register for some unneccessary CD. Nevertheless I repeat myself, I am the only person who doesn't appreciate it, and you will probably be head over toes on it, so go right on ahead...

The Way is excellent. I would rate this six or seven stars, but the maximum is five, so I can't. I became obsessed with it shortly after hearing it on the radio, and if I weren't broke I would buy the CD quicker than you can say, "Hey, he's buying a CD," and then go and learn German, Latin, Russian, and Japanese. Ha! Anyway, buy the CD. It's excellent.
