Amazing!,

One of the best scores I have ever heard. The use of timpani drums and castanets is brilliant, and accentuates the movie perfectly. It is also one of the few scores that can be appreciated entirely its own. Kraemer's original song "How To Make A Margarita" is humorous. I have recommended this score to many friends who usually do not listen to "classical" music, with great effect. I can't wait to see what Kraemer comes up with next!

Choppy, wanting but reminiscent,

I remember watching this movie and shortly into it (at the slow car chase), thinking this music is really, really good. I've searched for it ever since and it took me months to get my hands on this CD. The first listen leaves a choppy impression. The cuts are somewhat short, end abruptly, and leaves you wanting more from Kraemer. There also isn't much flow between songs, which adds to the choppy feel. But by the end of the CD, I felt Kraemer put together some tremendous music and I ran it back for another listen. Tantalizing use of timpani drums and castanets; reminisicent of big budget Mexican westerns. This score truly draws you into the movie.

Incredible score to an incredible movie. Percussion and piano use is fantastic and makes a complete classic! One of the best Cds I've gotten since David Arnold came around.

a typical spaghetti western style soundtrack,

For those who still miss Ennio Morricone's fantastic, "La Resa Dei Conti" style spaghetti western soundtrack, this is a very nice example in a modern day movie. Actually, the whole movie is like a modern day spaghetti western, eventhough the director doesn't admit his secret admiration of Leone. Particularly the beginning part is great for spaghetti western lovers. The tunes with castanets along with suspension theme is great. I recommend to all who has the fantastic spaghetti western saga admiration.

Soothing and Different,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Way Of The Gun (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
This CD would have gotten 5 stars had there been harder songs... I mean, I like the soothing aspect of it, but considering the plot of the movie, I wouldda liked to hear some faster+harder songs... more along the lines of Metallica and Limp Bizkit. Still, it's a good soundtrack. I hope the movie's just as good.
