Love is the most powerful thing on heaven - and earth., March 26, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: On The Way To Heaven (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the first book I have every read by Ms. Wainscott but is will not be the last. As an avid reader of romance it takes something truely special to catch my attention and this book exceedes every expectation. Not only have I fallen in love with this book, my co-workers have as well. We have passed it around to everyone and we are all insearch for "Shades of Heaven".
If anyone has ever wondered if there is life after "death" or if you can right the wrongs of your life, this book can make you believe. And it does it through the most basic and complex of human emotions - love. To die without ever truely finding love would be hell. Thank God for second chances.

Inspiring!, January 14, 2003
This review is from: On The Way To Heaven (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a wonderful love story that shows how the power of love can heal. I was drawn into this story and was unable to put it down until I had finished it. Hallie/Chris and Jamie were wonderful characters and the story of their love was great. Hallie has had a brain hemorrhage and has died Chris has died in a car accident but on the way to heaven has asked for a second chance at life because she never experienced love. Chris is then sent back to earth and told to "find his heart". What she did not know at the time was that she was back on earth alive but in a different body. She was now Hallie. Hallie was a nasty piece of work that just before her collapse asked her husband Jamie for a divorce. The new Hallie has no memory of the old Hallie's life and has no concept of the pain that her old self had caused. Jamie knows that something is different with the new Hallie but he is afraid to trust the new her. He is afraid to give his heart back to his wife and does not know if he can trust her yet again. This was really a heartwarming story and I feel that it is more then worth the effort it could take to get a hold of a copy of this story.

This book totally blew me away. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. Then, when I finished, I was sad that it had to end. The characters are so touching and the hero. Wow! Too bad they don't make guys like that anymore.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A KINDLE VERSION OF THIS BOOK, IT HAS BEEN RE-RELEASED DIRECTLY BY THE AUTHOR AS "UNTIL I DIE AGAIN" !!!!!
This is a book I re-read every few years. I love the premise, love the characters, and enjoy the intrigue Tina adds to her writing. A must read for anyone who loves a good romance.

What a fantastic read!, March 14, 2000

I loved this story. I've read it several times and enjoyed each and every time. The concept that a person could love and heal her husband was great. She did it with patience and love.

Shallow and less then awe inspiring., November 21, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: On The Way To Heaven (Mass Market Paperback)
After reading the "Second Time Around", I wanted to like this first effort by Ms. Wainscott. I wanted to like it but I was disappointed. An interesting idea that brought no strong characterizations to the characters. I didn't care about the people in the book. Jaimie DiBarto was handsome, and devoted to the idea of being responsible to his wife following her coma, but other then that, who cares? I didn't care about any of the characters and that was what was disappointing.
