About the Author

June Van Cleef is a professional photographer and professor of photography at Collin County Community College. She spent her high school years in Hamilton before earning a bachelor's degree in art from Sul Ross State State University and a master's degree in art from North Texas State University. She has studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology.Bryan Woolley, a native of the Carlton community in Hamilton County, is a popular feature writer for the Dallas Morning News and the author of several books.

I found this book on my mother's coffee table after she passed away. The photographs are stunning! I brought it home with me, sat down to look at it, & couldn't stop reading. Although I didn't know many of the people in the book, I could remember the places the book showed. It brought back lots of memories of the people & places from a lifetime ago.
