5.0 out of 5 stars You're the Padawan - and you decide where the story goes!
This is fun. The story is addressed to you, an initiate in the ways of The Force. At the end of most "chapters" (some as short as a page) you get to decide what turn the story will take, and you then turn to the appropriate page. For my 8 year-old this made the book completely come alive.

I'm not sure why this book was prepared in the "look all over the place" format, but it is definitely a book that is frustrating and my grandson lost interest almost immediately and told me it was the worst book he had ever seen and don't get any more like it. With all the jumping around this is a short read, but one that can really turn younger kids on to books. And they can always go back to it and make different story choices.

I hope there will be more "Decide Your Destiny" Clone Wars books to come.

My 7 year old really enjoyed being able to choose between 2 options how the story was to move along. And when he came to the end, he would back up to the other option until he read that outcome to the end. And so on and so on. I really enjoyed reading it with him and wish they would make more kids chapter books in this format. (something different)

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the 7-10 crowd, June 23, 2010

This book was a huge hit in our house. As the other reviewers stated, it allows the reader to pick one of two options, much like the books I used to read as a child. My daughter (7) reads at a 4th grade level, and she felt is was an easy read. More importantly, she kept changing her choice, which meant re-reading to get a different ending! What fun she had!

The graphics and dialogue are extracted from the comic series, but jumping around to look up answers is not a great format for kids (IMHO).
