Great Version for the Novice,

This has to be the best version for those who have never read the "Way of the Pilgrim." The translation is superb. It is readable, but sacrifices little from the flavor of the original. It comes with a sound introduction, that is both practical and current on the research, as well as a commentary over each chapter. I found both of these helpful, but less so as the book progressed. If you have never read "Pilgrim," start with this version.

I heard about this book through a J.D. Salinger book - "Franny and Zooey" Franny was reading "The Way of the Pilgrim" and it sounded very interesting to me so I bought it here. The book was informational and kept my attention. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in different religions.
