Having a rather large collection of books on Saints, Hagiogrpahy, Prayer, Meditation, Ritual, and Religion, I can honestly say that I think this book is one of my all-time favorites!Cowan includes a multitude of Saints that is sure to appear to the most general audience and provides the reader with a brief bio, prayer, and meditation/act to contemplate on. Most people would think that this book would be only useful to Catholics, but that is not the case. Any Christian would benefit by including the prayer exercises into their daily prayer and non-christians would benefit from reading about the people (saints) that helped shape the life of the Catholic church. Highly recommended without any reservation!!!

I love this book and recommend it highly because it's inspirational and practical. I enjoy reading a short story about one of these wonderful saints at the start of my day. I especially enjoy the ideas presented to bring the lessons learned from their lives into my own. I just ordered two more copies for my friends.
