3.0 out of 5 stars Way to go, November 24, 2008
This review is from: Way to Go, Simba! (Disney's the Lion King) (Hardcover)
This is an excellent book for several reasons: It's a good size and shape for kids just learning to read. It has only 1-3 lines of 18pt text per page. Each page is a full colour illustration with expressive characters. The story is also important; Simba is playing in the jungle and follows a butterfly past several animals and ultimately gets lost. Simba is scared and sad to be lost, but then remembers the animals he saw on the way and follows them, in reverse, back to his friends, who are excited to see him. Young children get lost every day and it is frightning for them, this book teaches problem solving techniques.
