I can honestly say that I am not a person that gets "star-struck" by artists, so I find myself in a very unique position here. When Clay Aiken sings "Solitaire" it goes straight to the soul. Absolutely incredible ---- you HAVE to listen to this song to believe it! Since singles are relatively inexpensive, you definitely owe it to yourself to pick up a copy TODAY!!!! You will agree it was money well spent - I'd bet the farm on it.

Yes, I am a Clay Aiken fan, so of course I knew I loved "The Way", but I had to have "Solitaire", after hearing Clay sing a short version of it on American Idol last season. After listening to it for the first time, I am completely, utterly blown away. I got chills, tears in my eyes, and even my husband seemed very moved (although he'd never admit it!) The range, power, and beauty of Clay's voice is simply unparalleled by any other "pop" star out there today. Everyone should do themselves a favor and buy this single, sit back for a listen, and prepare to be affected in a very deep and powerful way. Bravo!

I BELIEVE WE ARE ABOUT TO SEE THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW POP SOUND OF TOMORROW. THE PURE SINGER, WITH NO SPECIAL SOUNDS OR COMPUTER GENERATED NOISE TO CHANGE HIS VOICE. JUST BEATIFUL PURE MUSIC LIKE IT SHOULD BE. I THINK THIS GUY HAS A VOICE THAT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL IT TO YOUR SOUL. THIS IS ANOTHER POWERFUL AND TOUCHING SONG AND CLAY AIKEN HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST AWESONE SINGER IN MUSIC TODAY AND THESE 2 SONGS THE WAY & SOLITAIRE PROVE HIM TO BE JUST THAT.

I am amazed at the hate that is directed at this fine gentleman, Mr. Clay Aiken. I love the talent, the voice, and personality of this man. However, our place here is not to evaluate who Clay is or what kind of a person Clay is. We are here to review an album, not to use this opportunity to bash him. So having said that, I wish to still maintain that this single, which includes the songs The Way and Solitaire is an excellent cd and Clay's performance on these two songs warrants more than 5 stars.

The Way isn't my favourite song on his album, but presumably most people buy this single for Solitaire. If you liked how he sung it on American Idol you will absolutely love this. It's beautifully sung as one would expect from Aiken, but the production is also very good. Also, if you have heard this song on the radio, at five and a half minutes this version is actually quite a bit longer. I would recommend this even if you don't usually buy singles.

I have already purchased the album of "Measure of a Man"
and love "The Way" and "Measure of a Man"on it, BUT i bought
this CD especially for "Solitaire" and i am so glad i did.
This is a beautiful, well done song. It just takes your breath
away. Of everything that Clay Aiken has done that i love,
this is the very best!!! I absolutely recomend this Cd to
everybody.

Clay's beautiful, magnificent, hypnotic voice ALONE is worth 4 stars. The Way is a nice song that grows on you eventually. Solitaire is simply, well, indescribable! The production is excellent. Clay's vocal is showcased to the max. And who can forget that breathetaking glory note at the end? I'm telling you, this guy's middle name should be "Iron Lungs." Get this single, you will feel like you're not paying enough for it.
To the idiotic bashers: just who do you think you are? If you're going to give an artist one star, you might as least TRY to sound a little intelligent and back up your arguments. You can't, can you? That's because you HAVE no valid facts to criticize this single. The people who love it do.

There are no words to describe Clay Aiken's "Solitaire". I have always had 2 favorite songs, Bette Midler's "The Rose" and Neil Diamond's "I Am, I Said". They just got bumbed out of those top spots. "Solitaire" is easily the best song I have ever heard. I can't stop listening to it. It is absolutely incredible as is the Measure Of A Man who performed it. Clay Aiken has power, range and his ability to hold a note are unmatched by anyone. He did Neil Sedaka proud. You have to own this one.

Turn off the lights. Light some candles. Put on the headphones. Prepare yourself for a vocal journey like you've never experienced before. Simply stunning.
