"U look Maaaahvalous!",
By Stacy ~ "book lover" (Chicago 'burbs) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Way U Look Tonight (Paperback)
In book 2 of the O'Fallon series, we meet Keefe O'Fallon, famous soap actor who comes home to O'Fallon's Landing, Tennessee to help take care of his brand-new sister Bonnie while trying to locate her mother. But Keefe doesn't know much about babies, and breathes a sigh of relief when the babysitter shows up at his door, granting him salvation.
Only Callie Cahill is no babysitter. She is a writer for 'Soap Scoops', and is determined to write an exclusive interview all about wildly popular (and wildly sexy) Keefe to get her a coveted editor position at the magazine. Never mind that she's been obsessed with his character, Lex Zandor, for two years. Nope, she's a professional, and here to get the story. Of course Keefe is not cooperating one bit. He values his privacy almost as much as he values his family, and there is no way he's going to grant Callie her wish, no matter how attracted he is to the fierce yet loyal young woman who charms his family and rocks his libido. With both Keefe and Callie being as stubborn as mules, they finally decide to declare a truce and work together to get what they both want, which ultimately ends up being each other. Keefe finds contentment in his hometown when he finds a way to help the townsfolk and Callie begins to see the jaded side of her life and how much more meaningful it is when spent with people you care about. This book is a charmer for sure, with a lot of southern hospitality and heated tension. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing Dianne's "voice" as the story played out, making me yearn for life in a small town where the little things count. Readers will enjoy the way Castell writes stories for all ages, not just the twenty-somethings just starting out, but also older generations that are far from being dead. Her secondary characters and storylines will draw you in under their spell as they search for their own happy ending. Dianne Castell writes sweet yet spicy romances with a lot of sass - it's her trademark. And no one gets left out in the cold, lonely world in her books - there's love and romance for any age group. I also would recommend reading "Til There Was U" in order to get the full flavor of the trilogy. Although I am anxious to read the next story, I hate to see this series end. It's been a nice place to visit, and I can't wait to hear what patriarch Rory says next - he's a hoot.

A Mississippi Treat,
By Judy "book reader" (Cincinnati, ohio United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Way U Look Tonight (Paperback)
The Way U Look Tonight by Dianne Castell continues the fun and sassy story of the O'Fallon family that was started in `Til There Was U.
Sexy soap opera star Keefe O'Fallon has come home to help his father Rory protect his new sister Bonnie. Keefe is also tired of the limelight and thinks quiet O'Fallon's Landing is just the place to hide. Keefe can't understand what it is about the new nanny that has his blood racing thru his veins but he knows he must have a taste of her or he will go nuts. Callie Cahill needs to land this interview with Keefe O'Fallon her sisters future depends on her moving up at Soap Scoops. When she is mistaken for the new babysitter she plays along thinking it will get her the added edge that she needs. She does tell Keefe the truth but they keep this information to themselves. Both Keefe and Callie realize that getting together would be foolish since neither is planning on staying at the landing for long. But their bodies and hearts have turned out listening to their brains. They begin a hot and passionate affair. However someone is still out their trying to harm Bonnie's mother and when a scandal sheet prints an explosive story, all fingers point to Callie. Can Callie prove her innocence and convince Keefe that what they have is real? Can Keefe open his heart to a reporter and take a chance on love? The Way U Look Tonight is a pleasure from page one. You find yourself drawn into the characters and laughing at their antics. The chemistry between Keefe and Callie burns up every page. You can't wait to read another page to see how their love story unfolds. Really can't wait till then next O'Fallon story comes along. Kudos.

When soap star Keefe O'Fallon leaves New York City to return home to O'Fallon's Landing to help his father find the mother of Bonnie, his father's baby daughter, he never dreams he will desperately need the help of Callie Cahill, a voluptuous reporter for Soap Scoops magazine. Keefe avoids any and all press as if they are the plague. Callie ends up signing on as a temporary babysitter and has a knack for soothing baby Bonnie. She also has a knack of sending Keefe's libido through the roof. The tradeoff is that she will get an interview and a handful of pictures of Keefe for her article. There is a steamy side romance between fellow tug operator Digger, and a curvaceous visitor, Georgette. Georgette's intentions are a tad questionable for a while, but she is unable to resist Digger's honest, hardworking charm, and their relationship is a pleasant addition to this book. When photos of Keefe and a scathing article turn up unexpectedly in Soap Scoops magazine and Callie declares her innocence, Keefe doesn't believe her, and she brokenheartedly decides that it's time to leave. As Keefe and his father find themselves closer to finding Bonnie's mother, Keefe has to decide whether he believes Callie's declaration of innocence or risk losing her forever. ****** This is a wonderfully fun continuation of the O'Fallon family, complete with humor, passion, and a touch of mystery. Dianne Castell has a knack for writing books that evidence her extraordinary sense of humor and she never fails to add just the right amount of tender moments to touch your heart. I highly recommend this book as well as the first book in this series, and am anxious to get my hands on the next installment.

The Way U Look Tonight,

Keefe O'Fallon has taken a break from his job as soap star, Lex Zandor, to go back home and help his family out during a crisis. Callie Cahill has followed Keefe to get a story for her magazine, which Keefe does not want to happen. Callie, also, has a bit of a crush on Keefe, but Keefe does not like reporters! Callie saves the day when she helps calm Keefe's baby sister, Bonnie, and agrees to take care of Bonnie in exchange for Keefe giving her an interview. And so begins, Keefe and Callie's adventures.
Dianne Castell has created a fun, engaging cast of characters who immediately pull the reader into their lives and keeps them there. Keefe and Callie are fun to watch as they try to fight sexual tension that they cannot escape, and they really do not want to. The secondary characters and the underlying mystery both add to the charm of the story. Dianne Castell's The Way U Look Tonight is wonderful and I cannot wait to get my hands on Til There Was U and Quaid's story. Dianne has me hooked!!

A Fun & Sassy Story,

Keefe O'Fallon returns home to help his family. Little did he know that trouble followed him home, one sexy reporter and an avid fan and the fun is just beginning.
The attraction between Keefe and the reporter-turned babysitter Callie is sizzling!! They both try so hard to deny it but with the steam they generate it is only a matter of time. Besides the main storyline, Dianne Castell has woven in stories for some of the other folks in town. Keefe's friend Digger has his eye on the new girl in town. Sally & Demar's romance is heating up and what is going on at the Hasting's House. The storyline involving the retired folks in the community was perfect, a second chance at love and plenty of fun. All great additions that make you feel like your part of the town. This is a must read for all you romance fans and if you missed "Til there was U", be sure to read it also. I am "patiently" waiting for the next O'Fallon story "I'll be Seeing U"

Come visit O'Fallon's Landing,
By Carolyn "A Reading Fool" (Louisville, Ky United States) - See all my reviews

Meet Keefe O'Fallon. He is at the top of his game. A very hunky soap star. But the media hounds are driving him crazy. His father has a problem. So Keefe heads back to O'Fallon Landing to help Rory his father. And to hide out from the media. But then he mistakes a beautiful reporter as his baby sister Bonnie's new nanny. This is the break Callie needs. She has to have this interview so she can get a promotion. She needs it to help pay for her little sister's college education. Let the fun begin. Dianne Castell writes the second book in the Four O'Fallons and a Baby series. She creates a great family with a secondary cast of fun characters that are just as great. I always enjoy Ms Castell's books and this story is one of the best. Her books are great fun to read. Can not wait to the third brother to come home.
Also recommended: Dianne Castell- 'Til There was U. and Lori Foster's Jude's Law

You just gotta' love it!,

This review is from: The Way U Look Tonight (Paperback)
He is a sexy actor trying to keep his private life private and she is the reporter that can threaten that privacy all to pieces. Keefe O'Fallon and Callie Cahill are different in many ways but there is one thing that bind them together, their love for Bonnie, Keefe's little sister and the reason why he went back to his hometown. But neither of them expected their attraction to come in to play an important part of their lives. Sparks fly when Keefe and Callie are together in the same room, even when they fight the attraction it can't be denied for long. There are other secondary romances that will have you sighing one minute and laughing so hard the next! Characters with a lot of heart, sass and so funny! It amazes me the way that Dianne can weave such a funny story and mix the sensual side of romance with suspense and a lot of other ingredients that make this such a great read. As all her books this one contains a really strong sense of family and responsibility. This is the second book in this series, and although it can be read by itself, I would recommend to read "Til there was U, the first one in the series. Both are so good that you will keep turning pages and will not be able to put them aside!

This review is from: The Way U Look Tonight (Paperback)
If you are looking for a book with passion, heat, family bonds, love, and tons of humor, The Way U Look Tonight is the book for you. Dianne Castell writes a wonderful story about Keefe and Callie. Keefe is a soap star who heads to his home town to help out his father. Callie, a reporter, follows him there trying to get a story. They don't trust one another but fate, a ghost, and the love of a little baby bring them together. This books is packed with passion and heat. The main characters draw you in and you feel their emotions right along with them. Did I mention the humor? Ms. Castell has a smile on my face the entire book and moments of out right laughter. The secondary story involving Digger a local, and Georgette a rich woman here chasing Keefe adds another demension to this already wonderful book. Don't let this book sneak past your radar. It is the perfect follow-up to Till There Was U.

Fun, Sexy Read,

This review is from: The Way U Look Tonight (Paperback)
This is the second in Dianne's trilogy of Four O'Fallons and a Baby. In this story we meet Keefe O'Fallon, who is the sexy soap opera star - Lex Zandor. Early in his career he had a bad experience with the press and he avoids them at all costs. But to Keefe family always comes first so when his Father needs help finding the Mother to his baby sister, Keefe answers the call to come home. Callie Cahill is an reporter for Soap Scoops and is after an exclusive interview with Keefe, but before she can explain all this she is taken for the babysitter for Keefe's young sister Bonnie. To say that the opening pages have you laughing as the situation goes downhill fast is an understatement after she is busted for what she really does. This is a well written, light-hearted romance, that has its tense moments, steamy well written sex scenes, fiery kisses that scorch anything within range and lots of action. It is wonderful to see these two become a couple and fall in love, even when Keefe does all the wrong things and is so determined to keep his life private. Callie is beautiful, sassy and just the tonic that Keefe needs to keep him in a stir. This is a page turner from start to finish, which will have you smiling and sighing all the way through. The secondary characters just add to this book and I really, look forward to the next book in this series. If you have not read the first book 'Til There Was U, then you are missing a great series. Dianne has another winner in this book and only seems to get better with each release.

Fun series!! 2nd in the series: Keefe's book,
By Marie "Massage Therapist AAS" (MN, USA) - See all my reviews

This is the fun second-in-the-series O'Fallon men trilogy. Keefe comes back to town to help his dad control the household with his touchy and uncontrollable baby sister. Only to find a soap star gossip magazine reporter is on his tail, and even auditions for babysitter at that just to get an interview.
Well that is just the beginning. The elderly townsfolk are involved to and need Keefe's help directing a play. You should really dig into this series. It is really fun. And you can find out how Keefe juggles it all on his time off from his soap sitcom. |
