This serves as virtually a intro by itself to one of the most important figures in country music history. While the set does contain several "alternate" takes, it is still a must have for fans of Rodgers. These recordings are where country, rock and folk all meet together. These recordings have not only influenced the likes of Hank Williams and Lefty Frizzell, but also musicians by the likes of Bob Dylan. A must have for your collection.
