Sweet set of modern, traditionally-oriented bluegrass,

"Way Up on a Mountain" (Rebel Records, 2009) ------------------------------------------ A sweet, mellow bluegrass set, with lots of original compositions, and a nice, relaxed feel. This Colorado band has solid musical chops, but they don't push the music into super-picker territory, they linger on the lyrics and let the songs speak for themselves... I like their unassuming, un-hyper approach a lot -- it's closer to the old Stanley Brothers template than that of Flatt & Scruggs... Really nice stuff! (DJ Joe Sixpack, Slipcue Guide To Hick Music)
