GREAT COLLECTION!!!!, January 6, 2006
This review is from: Way We Used to (Audio CD)
to all who think this isn't a great collection, well go back & listen.
You get three cd's of JIM CROCE!!!!! 2 discs of hits, grant it, it might not be 83 studio recordings but you have to factor in the 3rd disc is the hard to find FINAL TOUR LIVE!!!!
yes that is correct people you get the only live album released in this collection.
this collections has it all: Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, Time In A Bottle, Operator, You Don't Mess Around With Jim, Rapid Roy (That Stock Car Boy), Ney York's Not My Home, Hey Tomorrow, I Got A Name, Photographs & Memories & Roller Derby Queen to name just a few.
They are all clear & remastered, anybody who wants to get an easy introduction to Croce needs to either buy this or the 50th Anniversary Collection.
But if your a die hard fan like me you can never have to much Jim Croce.

"Not as discribed", October 20, 2004
This review is from: Way We Used to (Audio CD)
I bought this on the basis of the songs listed as being on the CDs firstly there are only 68 songs not 83 songs and the ones I was looking for are not there. Don't get me wrong this is a great collection but it does not have 83 songs .

A Great Collection From a Missed Troubadour, February 17, 2011
This review is from: Way We Used to (Audio CD)
By my count: 68 tracks. Still a fine collection! Another reviewer mentioned that Disc 3 was a re-issue of the rare & wonderful Jim Croce - The Final Tour. This is true, except that it omits a rare and Hilarious song; "The Ball Of Kerrymuir". This track is a must have for any Croce fan, for the spoken intro and the actual song. It is a pleasant surprise that I won't ruin here. It can be found on the CD of "Jim Croce - The Final Tour" which at the time of this writing (Feb. 17, 2011) is listed on Amazon for a reasonable $14.93.
Pick it up. If you enjoy Jim Croce you won't be disappointed!
