Robin Avery's new album "The Way You Hold Me" is a jazz lover's must-have! Her unique fusion of R&B, Pop and Smooth Jazz is a delight to listen to, and her inspiring lyrics about life and love can capture any listener's heart. Internationally acclaimed smooth jazz artist Warren Hill lends his talents on Robin's cover of the Cars' hit "Drive," one of my personal favorites on the record. If you're a fan of Sade, Carole King, or just love great jazz music, you should definitely check out this album!

Robin Avery's "The Way You Hold Me" album offers listeners refreshing insight what human relationships are all about. I enjoyed her tunes especially after a tough day at work. Driving down the highway with your sun roof open makes you appreciate and count your blessings i.e. good weather, a loving spouse, children, food on the table, and a roof over your head. It's so easy to forget all these beautiful gifts so endearing to us all - her songs will remind you time and time that life and time together is to be treasured and appreciated. "Kiss me in the rain" invokes memories so long ago forgotten - remember your first date? Or your first kiss? "What was on your mind" invokes feelings that one cannot be too complacent with personal relationships. Like everything else in life, you get what you give in. The "Little Girl" will remind you that although we have adult bodies and mind, our childhood memories are never too far from us. R. Avery's album is so cool - way to go, Robin!

Breathy lyrics filter through jazzy soundscapes in a breezy solitude. The songs are sensuous and healing and have a sexy "I'm Free" attitude. Robin Avery is a true romantic who sweeps you away into her world. If you love smooth jazz or relaxing albums to take you away from the stress of life, this is perfect to listen to in the afternoon or evening.
