Customer Reviews

Pumped failed to work.

The company generoulsy offered to sell me replacement parts instead of a new pump.

This pump does all it says it will. I have one that just had the shaft seal go after 16 years and I am buying another one. It primes quite easy. You have to provide your own wires to plug it in, which is a 15 minute job. I use it daily in the summer, and run it between 8-12 hours per day....so this pump/motor will hold up. It is rebuidlable, and I will do that, but am buying another because it is quicker and am not sure of extent of items that are wore out

This pump works just as advertized. Has 230/115V comes set for 230 but to change to 115 just pull out on a switch and turn to 115. No rewiring the lugs to change the voltage. A good buy for the money. I have 6 sprinkler heads 0n it and they are up hill and it puts out good pressure. Some one said it needs to be in side. I just bent a peice of tin and folded it over the motor and that works fine. Mine sets outside on the lake and been thru several thunder storms and no problems.

We have had this pump for about two months now. We upgraded from a 1 1/2 hp pump. We use to irrigate 15 acres which include grass, an orchard, and a 175 vine vineyard. It handles all of it very well. We would have given a 5 star rating but for the fact that it was poorly packaged for shipment and arrived with the plastic end cap broken off. We needed to install it immediately so we used a little electrical tape to reattach it. it has been working perfectly.

With all the warnings against running the motor/pump dry, I didn't test it until I had it almost completely installed, including mounting on a dock with lake water supply attached. Turned on the power and, you guessed it, the motor just hums. Uninstalled everything, removed pump housing cover and discovered the impeller/slinger won't turn--the motor shaft is frozen. A simple power on test would have brought out the problem immediately, but with all the warnings against it, I had decided not to risk it. Now I'm back to my old ways of giving everything a short simple test before installation.

I installed this pump with perfect filtration, piping and overall ideal circumstances. I lasted less than 6 months and the impeller disintegrated .... Nearly $300 for a pump that is of such poor quality and has no warranty. Very disappointing.

I believe this to be a good dependable product. However the shipping did it in. It was not packed properly in its light cardboard box and with the weight in excess of 50 pound did not survive being dropped.

I have a big box house brand pump right beside the Wayne. About the same cost. The Wayne pump is definitely the superior pump. The big box pump is noisy after two years of use. The Wayne is quite, smooth, and powerful. The 3 hp Wayne I replaced was 20 years old, and it didn't wear out, I forgot to pull the freeze plug and it cracked in the winter.
The Wayne also uses a very high quality motor. This is one heavy duty unit. A great value for the price.

Sucks water 120ft with a 25 ft rise. Then pumps 200 ft and up another 25 ft - to 4 separate sprinklers. 40 PSI at pump and no pressure loss with all 4 sprinklers running! Only wish it were water proof as it is in a flood plane. We will see how it fares in the next few years when the water rises.
