Wayport Inc. announced a new agreement with HealthSouth Corporation, the nation's largest provider of inpatient rehabilitation services, to provide public and private applications and services, including complimentary wireless Internet access at the company's rehabilitation hospitals.
Wayport enables public and private-side applications, services, and devices on a single converged network and will offer the service throughout each hospital, including patient rooms, cafeterias, waiting rooms, and other common areas. Twelve trial locations have already been installed and are operational today. HealthSouth currently operates 94 rehabilitation hospitals.
