Not for all sellers,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 101 Ways to Market Your Online Jewelry Shop: Free and Cheap Ways to Market, Promote, Advertise, and Increase Traffic to Your Online or Etsy Jewelry Shop and Sell Your Jewelry Now (Paperback)
If you have a well established online shop and are looking for some "out of the box" ideas on how else you can enhance your jewelry sales, this book will definitely offer you some advice. Many sellers will find the tips pretty extreme though ("Write and promote a children's story about your jewelry") and the ideas stop right there, at the highest level ideation stage. If you are looking for tactical advice on how to get the most out of Etsy, or (especially) step-by-step instructions on how to implement the tips, you will be disappointed. Further, the book contains no pictures, is printed in black and white, and at 1-2 paragraphs per page, would only be 30-40 pages if all the white space was left out. Bottomline: we found it overpriced and of little value, but others may benefit from some of the tips.

Buyer Beware,

I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of this book after reading the reviews here at Amazon. When the book arrived I was dismayed to find that it really wasn't so much a book as an expensive list of ideas. One idea is on each page. The idea is explained in a paragraph or two. The ideas ARE good, but I would not purchase the book for $16.

I bought this book after hearing about it from a friend at a crafts fair. Like him, I am good at making jewelry... but hopeless at marketing!! I'm not an Internet expert, so what I really liked about this book was that it also breaks it all down, like showing you how to market your stuff on specific sites. Highly recommended!

..but still not worth your time.
Like others on this site, I, too, fell for the hype, thinking that this book would make the greatest Christmas gift for my mentor starting her own Etsy business. Imagine my dismay when I open the book and find 1 item scarcely covering 1/3 of a page filling a whole book. How would I present this as a gift? It's TOO embarrassing. Could I return it? Why had no one warned me? If one would like to find out how to market their jewelry, one would do better not to follow tip numbers 15 and 23 ("Jewelry in a Balloon" and "Hit up High School Girls", respectively) or WORSE, tip number 9: Jewelry in Soap... After reading less than 10 pages, one has to wonder whether or not this author (who is NOT credited on the book, which makes one even MORE wary of the contents) is in middle school. This book would be worth a blog page. This might even make a decent flyer. But I am appalled that I paid for it. I am also saddened that all these reviews (Save ONE) have done nothing but painted an awesome picture for a less than stellar work of crap.

Refreshing!,
This review is from: 101 Ways to Market Your Online Jewelry Shop (Kindle Edition)
This was such a great buy! All of the information was fresh and new and the ideas were so great I'm already implementing four of them! Definitely worth the money and while it's a great tool, you'll find yourself having a ball utilizing these ideas. It really jumpstarts your creative juices. We all have slumps sometimes and every once in a while its great to get over that slump doing something new and exciting. Who knew it would also be profitable?

Great Marketing Guide!!!,

This review is from: 101 Ways to Market Your Online Jewelry Shop (Kindle Edition)
I have to say that this is the best marketing book I've read for selling your art/crafts online. I've purchased a few others, but this was fresh and innovative. Of the 101 ideas, there were only 2 I had heard of before in other guides. Most of the ideas are free or at little cost to you as a seller. [...]

This book had a lot of great ideas but the cost was high. Try to buy the book used.

Like the other 1 star reviewer of this book, I was surprised at what this book contained, or more specifically, what it lacked. Each page contains 1 idea on marketing and selling your jewelry. Yes, a few ideas were interesting but most were too obscure, silly, or just plain weird. Hitting up Girl Scout cookie sellers to include a coupon? Making book covers for high school girls? Car magnets?? Again, a few ideas were clever, but for the price, I expected more. This should be priced around $6 or so, its really more like a booklet. And yeah, the fact that the author isn't credited makes me suspicious too...Sorry, this book just isn't worth it.

Wonderful Advice!,

This review is from: 101 Ways to Market Your Online Jewelry Shop (Kindle Edition)
This is a wonderful guide for jewelry makers! I've been making jewelry for over a year now, and thought there was some good ideas. I have seen a few of these ideas before, but most I had not seen. Many of the topics I have seen had more details in this ebook. There is great advice, even linking to outside resources. Most of the ideas are free, which is a great plus! There are ideas on how to promote, and there are some ways that do involve spending money too. I would recommend this for any new jewelry maker!

Jewelry Shop Success Guide Review,

This review is from: 101 Ways to Market Your Online Jewelry Shop: Free and Cheap Ways to Market, Promote, Advertise, and Increase Traffic to Your Online or Etsy Jewelry Shop and Sell Your Jewelry Now (Paperback)
I love the Jewelry Shop Success Guide!! The steps are laid out nicely and easy to read and follow. I have a shop on Etsy and have been incorporating the marketing steps listed therein. There are so many ideas that I didn't think about, so it is good to get other feedback. I highly recommend this book if you have an online jewelry shop.
