5.0 out of 5 stars Meaning of Christmas, August 27, 2011
Many Christians want to "put Christ back in Christmas" and insist that "Jesus is the Reason for the Season." With these slogans, they hope to remind people that Christmas is a Christian holiday and that without Christ, there would be no Christmas in the first place.

Christmas has become in recent years, promotional, and it seems to me that people have forgotten that Christ our Lord is the real meaning behind Christmas. Christmas is not about the presents we receive, but the presence within us of Jesus Christ.

Instead of making these huge Christmas list of things that we desire, why not be different this year and make a list of things that you are grateful for and perhaps you can put the Christ, back in Christmas. You can put the Christ back in Christmas simply by sharing the blessings that you have with those less fortunate than you are.

Here in a compact, easy-to-read format, they present 50 simple, yet effective ways to keep the spirit alive, 365 days, all year long. These are guidelines for practicing His principles not only during Christmas, but also on a daily basis Says entertainer Cece Winans. ONLY this Ebook "50 Ways to Put Christ Back in Christmas" will help you to do this----buy it 2 thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars SOME CREATIVE AND PRACTICAL WAYS TO MANIFEST THE "HOLIDAY SPIRIT", January 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Vanessa and Deron Snyder have also written 50 Ways to Put Christ in Your Marriage And Live Happliy Every Day.

This 120-page 1998 book consists of facing pages, with a biblical quotation on the left side, and one of the "50 Ways" (categorized under "God," "Family," "Giving," "Sharing," "Activities," and "Wellness") on the right-hand side.

Examples are:

"2. HONOR GOD: Think about when you first committed your life to God and how you were willing to do whatever you could to please Him. Maybe it's time to become active in the church, or to start paying your tithes." (Pg. 13)
"5. RESPECT OTHER RELIGIONS: When the disciples complained about a man who wasn't part of their group, and was driving out demons, Jesus told them not to stop them, because whoever isn't against you is for you." (Pg. 19)
"10. GO TO CHURCH: Gather the whole family together, get all dressed up and go to church. What better way to fellowship and honor Jesus Christ?"
"14. ADOPT A FAMILY: Make another family's Christmas special by giving them gifts. Take your family shopping specifically for another family." (Pg. 39)
"18. LIMIT THE NUMBER OF GIFTS: We all say Christmas is not about getting things, so limit the number of gifts you buy." (Pg. 49)
"24. GIVE SOMEONE A BIBLE: The word of God is a gift you can keep forever. It's always in season, always in style." (Pg. 61)
"27. INVITE A GUEST FOR DINNER: ... Christmas provides an opportune time to reach out. Show some compassion and share a warm meal." (Pg. 69)
"33. VOLUNTEER AT A SHELTER: Just because it's a holiday doesn't mean people in need take the day off. You can brighten the life of the homeless or battered by taking time to share part of your Christmas with them." (Pg. 83)
"34. VISIT THE SICK: The holidays can be a particularly lonely time for the sick." (Pg. 85)
"40. DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR POLICE OR FIREFIGHTERS: They serve us 365 days a year and often have to work during the holidays." (Pg. 97)
"42. PRACTICE KWANZAA: Kwanzaa DOES NOT conflict with, or try to replace, Christmas... The principles of Kwanzaa ... go hand in hand with Jesus' teachings." (Pg. 101)
