I bought this book before Christmas and I LOVE it! I have two very energetic boys (ages 6 and 4) and love these creative yet practical ways to introduce spirituality into their lives. Some of my favorites so far are #37 - let children work out their disagreements (very helpful for me!), #40 - laugh often and much and #85 - anticipate the good. All these ideas seem so simple but it is easy to forget when raising a family in today's hectic world! A great book by a wonderful author - check out her Christian children's books as well! My boys' favorite (and mine too)is God Loves You.

I bought this book for me as a Christmas "gift". I have 2 young boys so I have to read in short durations which is easy to do with this book. I enjoyed having the "checklist" of the 99 topics in the front of the book. I was reassured to find we were already doing some of her suggestions such as #47 getting to know people of all ages and #88 be kind to animals. As my children grow, I will use this book as a guide such as #84 respect privacy.

I would recommend this book to parents with children of all ages.

We've used this in a parenting class at church, and I'm now giving it to parents when they have a baby baptized. Wonderful, practical, accessible ideas written with non-jargony language - just wish the book would stay in print.

It gives you ideas on how to handle diifficult situations in raising children.
It does not give you all the answers, but certainly offers good sugestions.
It is well worth the money and time to read it.
