5.0 out of 5 stars 365 Ways to Save the Earth is a wonderful book
I bought 5 copies as gifts for Christmas.

I gave it to some friends, to my grandmother. The whole family was looking at the beautiful pictures. I had my uncle reading the daily inspiring messages.

"It brings me peace when I read this book, a day at a time" my grandmother said.

Highly recommended! I even kept a copy for myself.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good ideas, however it disobeys its own first suggestion :-(
Good photos and points made, but #1: Recycle?

Yes, yes, that's why not ONE page of this book is made from post-consumer material (i.e., the paper stock that this book uses isn't even recycled, despite recycling being the first point made in the book!)

SO, #1: don't buy this book, get it from a library instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Pictures and Helpful Tips, March 22, 2007
This review is from: 365 Ways to Save the Earth (Hardcover)
This is a compact hardback book with some incredible photographs of various places and things in our natural world. It does have some good tips for helping the environment although these suggestions are basically repeated towards the middle of the book. The book is worth it for the pictures alone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Green Gift Book, March 21, 2006
This review is from: 365 Ways to Save the Earth (Hardcover)
I have ordered this book as a gift for numerous friends and family members. It is a beautiful and thought-provoking introduction to environmentally-friendly behaviors in a time when most Americans aren't thinking about the problems we have created in our environment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great environmental tips, March 15, 2009

If you are looking for suggestions about how to minimize the negative effects on the planet, then this is the book for you. Wonderful pictures and suggestions and a great tool for communicating with youngsters. I might not solve all the environmental problems, but I wanted to do something to ultimately help me be part of the solution(s) and not part of the problem.

I love this book. The suggestions and information is very useful and helpful and the images are simply astonishing. I saw this book in a store while on vacation visiting back home in California, but it would have cost about $25/$30 of my vacation dollars so I just took a picture of it so I could remember the author later when I returned home. I am so glad I did. Philippe Bourseiller has become my idol as his type of photography is very similar to what I plan on doing while I am out and about as an environmental conservationist. <3

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful pictures of a beautiful earth, August 2, 2010

The awesome photography make this a great coffee table book. However, please read the suggestions as well. I had to check and see if my refrigerator emitted CFC's after this book brought the subject to my attention. Deeply informative.

1.0 out of 5 stars Double standards - save the earth with these tips, ruin it with a incredible waste of paper!, July 4, 2011
Number one: Don't buy this book if you really care for the environment.

Really, I saw this in a library and was incredibly disgusted with how thick it is and the sheer amount of pages.

365 ways to save the earth? Doesn't mean it has to be on 365 pages! Why couldn't it be condensed onto a few pages. I flicked through it and what is written on each page is very little.
Really, if this was a standard sized book it would be a lot better for the earth - this book appears to actually be bad for the earth with such a blatant waste of paper. Incredibly naive and outright idiotic.

It could be made from recycled paper, that doesn't matter - it is still an incredible waste when it could have been compressed into a heck of a lot less pages.
