4.0 out of 5 stars Marvin 2 Speed Window Fan
ACE Hardware- WB MARVIN 2000 "2-SPEED" TWIN WINDOW FAN 8" - WHITE Well built, easy to install in window. For a small fan it moves a huge volume of air. Can be reversed in the window to either pull in air or exhaust air. Two small complaints: (1) The fan is very noisy especially if you want to use it at night. (2) While it has two speeds there is not a lot of...

1.0 out of 5 stars The fan broke within 6 months..
This dual fan, unlike others, did not have a switch to reverse the airflow. This would have been more convenient than having to turn the unit around if I wanted to change the inflow/outflow. It did however work fine in terms of enough power for my room (12x12). The problem was, one of the blades eventually came loose and fell off it's support. I was able to put it...

This is my second Marvin window fan - they are well built and will give many years of faithful service.

It did however work fine in terms of enough power for my room (12x12). The problem was, one of the blades eventually came loose and fell off it's support. I was able to put it back on but it was a recurring problem and eventually that blade bent and was useless. If I had to do it all again, I would have bought a heavier duty fan.

i have had this window fan for about 10 years now and have used it pretty much 24/7 every summer and has not failed me once it is showing its age but still a great fan. i am starting to look for another one because the left side motor takes a little longer to get to full speed than the right side but the fan is about 10 years old And using it from about mid May to about mid September thats to be expected. i highly recommend this fan to everyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lousy Fan, November 17, 2007

We have had 2 of these fans and both have had the same problem over a very short period of time. The fan is mounted vertically in the window.
With both fans, while they were running, the top fan blade fell off! The first fan was only a few months old and was returned to the store and I was given a replacement fan. The current fan is only a month or so old and not 30 minutes ago the same thing happened to this one! I will return this fan but I'm not really sure if I will accept another replacement after this happening twice with 2 virtually new fans. I thought I'd bought a quality product but now it sure doesn't seem that way now that the same thing has happened twice. I will contact the company and inform them of the problem.

This is a good, light weight, portable fan. If you are looking for a fan that you can easily take in and out of the window and move around, this is a good one. It will also work as a free-standing fan. It is very slimline, so it fits in my windows without having to remove the screens. It works for a small area only.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent American Made Fan, July 6, 2007
By
FanBuyer "FanBuyer" (Arlington Heights, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Wb Marvin Twin Window Fan (2000) (Misc.)
I have had this fan for 3 years now, and I am very happy with it. This fan is well made but it is very simple. The newer style window fans are electrically reversible which means that by pressing a button you can exhaust or intake air. With this model, you need to turn the fan around in the window. But, because the fan is designed to blow in one direction, it actually outperforms fans designed to blow in both directions. The one thing that I don't care for is the way the fan fits into the window. The fan comes with metal sides that slide out to make the fan wider or narrower. The problem is that the metal sides are somewhat flimsy. Other than that, it is an excellent window fan that outperforms and outlasted my modern chinese imports. I recommend this fan.
