4.0 out of 5 stars Supportive and Sane Words from Beyond, January 30, 2008
By
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
JM Harrison had a near death experience in 2007 and upon awakening from that journey to beyond the corporeal being he wrote as though in a trance for six days, the words of his writing coming to him from someplace beyond his understanding. This very readable little book is the essence of that experience and invites the reader to think not only outside the box, but also outside the space in which we feel we are confined: call it our life.

Some writers whose works appear after a near death experience speak about travels with angels or concentrate on views from 'out there', and while many of those books have been fascinating reading for those unafraid to think about the true harmony of the universe, none of those volumes contain the honest, helpful, intensely interesting and educating message as that found in Harrison's book.

WE ARE ALL ONE: A Call to Spiritual Uprising is a well-selected title, for the overall message of this book is that we ARE all one. Harrison takes us beyond the confines of our bodies, our temporary vessel of being, surveys 'death' and 'birth' as phases of being, and slowly demonstrates through obvious knowledge of all of the 'religions' of the world that all of us are truly at one with each other and with the entire planet/air/space that serves as our world. He removes the 'I' from his vocabulary, substituting the more meaningful pronoun 'we' as he shows us that seeking the truths about the ebb and flow of all life towards the central One, the fact that no matter where we are in the space of incarnation, can provide us knowledge and understanding to change the world - the world we have punished with war, with hate, with separateness, with environmental injury.

Harrison speaks of a timeframe from 2008 to 2012 when the opportunity for spiritual uprising can result in a significant change in the world, a change that would by nature of the fact that we are all one preclude further war, famine, injury, and ultimate destruction of the planet. The pathway to this uprising is within the reach of all people: discovering that and heeding it is the purpose of this warmly supportive book.

Harrison practices what this book 'preaches': he is the head of The Dubon Center of Healing and Awareness, Gascony, France. This little book deserves the attention (and the chance for changing outlooks) of everyone who seeks something better than the way the world is functioning at present. Harrison gently supports the reader to expand consciousness and become at one with the flow of the spiritual universe. WE ARE ALL ONE could just be the nidus for change - not only ourselves but also the body of souls that surround us. This is an eloquent, tender, meaningful, beautifully written book. 5.0 out of 5 stars We help ourselves by helping others., February 26, 2008
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
The message I took from the little book is a bit different than that of another reviewer --- yet I certainly agree with the other review.

When my mother was suffering with cancer and I would complain about something, she would tell me to find someone to help and care about and I'd forget my own troubles. She did that and it helped her get through a very painful time.

If we are all One, as the author says, we must stop thinking so much about our own issues, problems and fears, and learn how to help others. In this way, we help ourselves. We get out of ourselves and into the larger scheme of things.

The author says we should become more spirit-conscious instead of self-conscious, for it is more in spirit that we are One.

We become more in tune to the bond we have with others.

Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual truths made easy to understand, March 8, 2008
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
This book is an excellent source of basic spiritual truths. Revealing the three components of a human being, the soul, spirit, and body. All three are explained in great detail as the soul being your own mental dynamics that makes you, you. Your spirit is the conciousness you share in common with all of humans regardless of race and gender. Your body operates on the material plane below the higher planes of existence.
Also the book touches on universal spiritual and philosophical truths, and warns against false religion and false teachers. The book teaches that religion without science is as dangerous as science without religion. It shows how science has proven that ancient philosphers were right that matter is an illusion or a representation of our experiences of consciousness. Spiritually, all of our abilities are identical and only our present awareness is different. This book encourages us all to continue on our path of spiritual evolution, we can change the world. This book is excellent for all traveling on a spiritual path to enlightenment on our true nature.

For we are many bodies, yet One spirit, One truth, One light, existing on the many planes of being.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Husband's Book Review, May 23, 2008
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
`We Are All One' was written in six days following a near death experience of Jonathon Harrison. This book is written in the `we'. As Harrison writes in his preface, "We is a collective expression that applies to us all, for without each other, we would not exist. The `All' is a term for God...and the God we are referring to is the One who exists in all forms, to all men, according to their understanding...`We Are All One' is not a religion, or the result of a singular mind, but the result of all minds and the fruit of all religions, a compendium of past, present and future."

Simply put, there is both individual spiritual evolvement and human evolutionary change. Spiritual evolvement is the understanding that we are in a fractionate state: that is, we are in denial or unconscious of being whole, and by contemplating the fractionate state; we can realize the many possibilities in which humanity may consciously evolve at this time.

The year 2012 has significance for millions of people. Google 2012 and you will see what people are saying and believing. Harrison writes "we are arriving at a gate of time that provides us with an opportunity for change. It is our choice, evolution or extinction."

Harrison explains why we are here, and what we can do to evolve ourselves and humanity. He leads us from the basic to the infinite in an easy and understandable manner. After reading it, you `get it'.

I'll close with two quotes from the last chapter, Summation - Conclusions gained from the application of the spiritual principle, "We Are All One".

"Everything is conscious to a degree. The wonderful opportunity we have as human beings is the expansion of our consciousness. We are the most evolved being on planet earth, and we all must take responsibility as such, making conscious efforts to seek unity using all the means we have available."

"Reprogramming our atomic structure and altering our DNA is a reality because of consciousness. When we understand the full consequences of that, we may comprehend our direct, active role in the evolution of the human race."

5.0 out of 5 stars Become More Conscious, March 23, 2008
By
Jerry Katz "Nonduality.com" (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
Harrison brings together several themes and spiritual teachings to lay out a journey of becoming more conscious and thereby transforming society and the world.

He says he was plugged into Source and from Source downloaded the information and insights making up this book.

The writing is excellent and vibrates with the "energy of oneness." He speaks from the place of a higher vibration in which is heard qualities or tones of the occult or esoteric truths.

A fundamental insight and truth, he reveals, is that ultimately we are energy.

Aside from the several themes set forth, the core message is one of conscious evolution:

This book "enables an alignment of consciousness with our highest potential, not just the potential of the `you,' the singular one, but of the `us,' the all."

"If you want to change your old ways, your patterning, then you should seek to consciously evolve," Harrison declares.

I like how the sections within each chapter are stated as questions: How do we learn to discern? If we can `see' God, then what does he look like? We may choose to evolve, but what if others may not? There are many such questions.

By putting these headings in question form, the reader is immediately involved with an inquiry to handle. The question form is an excellent way to assemble a chapter. Beyond that, self-inquiry is a way to understand your true self. Harrison says,

"Don't seek to understand what you cannot understand. Seek your `self'; for in finding your true self, you will find the answer to any question, the key to any mystery, the reason for being. So seek the mind of God, for that is where all reside."

Do you feel connected to a vibration of energy? Would you claim that the energy is intelligence? Would you say the intelligence is intention and that the intention is to evolve humanity? If those questions bear on your spiritual knowing and experience, then you will resonate strongly with this book. Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just might change your life......., February 28, 2008
By
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
As with any words that come from awakened consciousness this little book is a stunning read. For my part, I wanted to understand myself better and awaken to my purpose in life, and found that reading it provided me with a deeper understanding of my 'true self' and all that IS.
A truly wise book, <We Are All One> helps in creating a unified understanding of all paths and religions. I love the way the book is spaced out to allow maximum reflection from what you're reading.
There is a 'new' energy here, a definite step up in consciousness occuring when you get what is being explained. Reading this book could well open your heart and your mind and given half a chance - - it just might change your life...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Important Book: If you are ready, August 15, 2009
This review is from: We Are All One: A call to spiritual uprising (Paperback)
This is a very important book for someone who is in the process of making the transition from a spiritual seeker to an experiencer of being, one with all life. In this book the author communicates great truths about being and the oneness with all in a very clear way. This is indeed a rarity in the world today. The last time I encountered a book that was this clear and accessible for most any reader was The Universe Is a Green Dragon: A Cosmic Creation Story when it was published in 1984, twenty five years ago. If you want to reorient yourself to a view that is inclusive of all life, all being, and to reveal a viewpoint that is beyond self-help books, then do you should read this book.

There is one area where I differ with the author. He believes that after we have achieved or realized whatever experience we are trying to obtain through the evolution of consciousness that we will retract back to a purely spiritual state beyond name and form, pure being. Well, I believe that pure being, as step one, was the basis for this entire creation enterprise. We have experienced that and that condition of pure being is available to those who can enter deep states of meditation called Samadhi. But if that state were enough then the creation would not be necessary. At step two we have breath which being uses to manifest into the creation and form the world of matter. At step three we have the movement of beings within matter in order to form something else. And this is where I believe humanity is in this period around 2012. We are trying to form something else beyond one, beyond two, into three which is a fusion of the prior states into something new. Using the authors terminology I would call this the trans-fractional state. Simply going back to pure being, from step one is not enough. We are trying to form a kind of networked luminescent 'structure' of being. This is clearly evident by the rise of both the Internet and consciousness explorations such as yoga, meditation, entheogens, etc.

Most spiritual paths have a concept of a heaven or happy hunting grounds as the experience after death. But it seems to me that the next step in the process of evolution of being is to merge that kind of reality with a trans-material luminescent state. Some people call this ascension. And really the primary message of Christianity should not be in the suffering and the cross but the uplifting of the form of humanity through Jesus ascension. And ascension should not be viewed in terms of duality as it is today (Jesus in heaven) but in terms of consciousness in the human form ascending to another level. And I think that this is our evolutionary path if not in 2012 then certainly 2012 marks some kind of qualitative change in getting us there.

So I highly recommend this book to inject a new vibration and vision into your consciousness. The words in this book will awaken something precious in your and further orient you to the sacred realities within and around you. A very easily accessible and meaningful read.
