Sia was born in Adelaide, Australia. After finishing high school and a semester of University, she left Oz for the UK where she first began her career as an artist. She has since released 3 critically-acclaimed studio albums and toured worldwide both as a solo artist and with ZERO 7 many times over. She quickly gained a reputation as one of the most innovative, exciting and visual artists of the past decade. In addition to her solo work, Sia has co-written with artists like Natasha Bedingfield, Will Young, and more. One of the most vibrant and interesting female solo art¬ists of our time, she now returns with her 4th studio album We Are Born.
The record is the highly anticipated follow-up to her 2007 smash, Some People Have Real Problems, and was produced by Greg Kurstin (Kylie Minogue, Ke$ha, Lily Allen). We Are Born also features con¬tributions from The Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi and Inara George from The Bird and the Bee.
The first single Clap Your Hands, which will im¬pact May 25, is a deliriously happy burst of good times and a call to the dance floor wherever you are.
