Book Description

March 2003
For over 20 years, internationally renowned medium Robert Brown has helped thousands of people around the world, including Princess Diana, communicate with the other side. Now, for the first time, he reveals exactly what we need to know from those who have crossed over and shares the inspiring stories of clients who have contacted departed loved ones. WE ARE ETERNAL reveals the astonishing story of the world beyond the physical, including what happens when our physical body dies, and what spirits really want us to know about capital punishment, suicides, evil spirits, and man's inhumanity to man. What Robert Brown has learned and is ready to share could change people's views on life and death forever.

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Brown, a "psychic investigator" and medium to the stars, shares his first experiences with the spirit world, the path he followed to become a professional medium and his own multifarious belief system in this interesting but insufficiently detailed memoir-cum-apologia. Spiritualists, séances, spirit guides and even astral travel flit in and out of these pages, as Brown connects with those who have "passed over" and shares the knowledge he says his spirit guide Ramadahn has taught him. His argument for life after death is supported primarily by his private "reading" sessions with clients, but for the sake of confidentiality, he leaves out important details. It's is an honorable way to conduct business, but an unfortunate practice when it comes to penning a book whose subtitle promises insight into the unseen. (And some mentions of his reading sessions smack of name-dropping; the main thing readers will learn about his readings with Princess Diana is that she sent thank-you notes.) There's a lot of Brown's philosophy here, and most of it (learn from your mistakes; make the world a better place) will feel familiar; at the same time, though, readers unversed in the vocabulary of mediums will be confused by the casual usage of "Spirit" ("In this way Spirit answered my request"), "beta body," or "crown chakra." In the end, this well-intentioned book feels befuddling-first, because Brown grapples with timeless questions in hazy terms, and second, because his text cries out for better editing.

This review is from: We Are Eternal: What the Spirits Tell Me About Life After Death (Hardcover)
WE ARE ETERNAL, a well-written page turner, is a timely book for those
interested in mediumship. Sharing his experience, he raises the myth that everyone can become a medium. According to
Brown, every one - knowingly or unknowingly - is in touch with the
other side and some people have spontaneous spirit communication
experiences. But in order to help others, NOT when we are in mood, but
when needed, one has to develop these skills. Becoming a medium
requires working long and hard, to train and devote his/her life to
this entirely. And there are no quick fixes on the path of training and
development. Brown assures us that he is still learning, because as he
puts it, mediumship is like an onion, you peal off one layer only to
find out that underneath is another layer waiting to be dealt with!

The most fascinating part of the book is the author's incredible
analyses of a hot topic "Bible and Spiritualism" - does Bible ban
talking to the dead, and does it lead to talking to the Devil? This is
for skeptics and believers alike! Believe me, you cannot put this book
away until you turn the last page! When Brown shares his ideas about
the Bible, Jesus Christ, Moses, and different religious beliefs...well,
I will leave that to the pleasure of your discovery when you read this
work!

One more note for those who believe that they are consciously in touch
with spirit world. Reading this book builds up such a light
high-vibrational energy that it may provoke spontaneous communication
session, especially if you need to get a word from beyond. It happened
to me, it might happen to you!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Gift of Mediumship Explained, April 5, 2003
This review is from: We Are Eternal: What the Spirits Tell Me About Life After Death (Hardcover)
If you understand the clairvoyant type of mediumship, you'll appreciate this book. If you don't understand it, you'll still appreciate it, assuming you have an open mind and want to understand. If you are closed-minded, don't bother. You'll be wasting your money.

The author is an experienced British clairvoyant medium, apparently being to Great Britain what John Edward and James Van Praagh are to the United States. In fact, both Edward and Van Praagh endorse the book with words of praise.

Brown begins by explaining how he was transformed from a skeptical teenager to a professional medium. He went along with a friend to a clairvoyant demonstration in London, believing he would be able to expose the medium as a charlatan. However, when a deceased uncle came through with very evidential information, some of which Brown didn't know until confirming it with his mother, he began to believe there might be something to it. He continued to investigate and soon realized that he had clairvoyant abilities. He attended classes and developed his ability to communicate with the spirit world.

Brown relates much of what he has learned from the spirit world about such things as suicide, premature deaths, the physically challenged, religion, pets, and various aspects of the afterlife. He explains many aspects of mediumship, including the difference between objective and subjective clairvoyance. "The key word for all mediums is vibration," Brown offers. "Essentially, a medium is one who changes the vibration of his or her beta body." He goes on to explain how mediums can train themselves to adjust their frequency and tune into the spirit world like a radio signal looking for a signal.

One question often put to Brown has to do with the location of the spirit world. "Where is the Internet?" is his usual reply.

The book concludes with two interesting first-person accounts of sittings with Brown. The appendix gives advice on how readers can attempt to tune in to the spirit world.

I've read the books by Edward, Van Praagh, and George Anderson. This one ranks right up there with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars We ARE Eternal!!!, December 2, 2005

Robert Brown is a phychic sensitive who shares what he's learned about life & so-called "death" in his book "We Are Eternal".

He begins by discussing his "early years" - including the fact that he started off as a "certified skeptic" - with his original goal being to prove the non-existence of psychic abilities. From this point, he shows how & why his views changed, as well as when he realized that he actually had this gift that could be used to help others in so many wonderful ways...

Mr. Brown then goes on to discuss what he's learned over the years regarding various "major" life topics, such as:

Suicide - you can't run away from anything, even through death.

Death of Children - there is a "reason"

Disease - the need to maintain positive thoughts, the damage of prolonged negative thoughts, and the need for there to be a balance between the body & the spirit

Disabilities - we all have the "right" body for our mission

Religion - it's time for people to move away from "blind" faith, and return to their spiritual roots. He also discusses the good and the bad of some of the world's largest religions.

Some of the other topics discussed include: pets, reincarnation, karma, life after "death", and what happens to "evil" people.

Overall, I found this to be an easy, interesting read. As such, I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in spirituality &/or the "paranormal". An open mind is a must!
