3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Reading
The author offers interesting perspective to our eternal soul, and some of the passages in the Bible - especially about Jesus. He does contradict his position about Mediums and "cold readings" at certain points in the book, but all-in-all this is a good book - worth the price.

WE ARE ETERNAL, a well-written page turner, is a timely book for those
interested in mediumship. Sharing his experience, he raises the myth that everyone can become a medium. According to
Brown, every one - knowingly or unknowingly - is in touch with the
other side and some people have spontaneous spirit communication
experiences. But in order to help others, NOT when we are in mood, but
when needed, one has to develop these skills. Becoming a medium
requires working long and hard, to train and devote his/her life to
this entirely. And there are no quick fixes on the path of training and
development. Brown assures us that he is still learning, because as he
puts it, mediumship is like an onion, you peal off one layer only to
find out that underneath is another layer waiting to be dealt with!

The most fascinating part of the book is the author's incredible
analyses of a hot topic "Bible and Spiritualism" - does Bible ban
talking to the dead, and does it lead to talking to the Devil? This is
for skeptics and believers alike! Believe me, you cannot put this book
away until you turn the last page! When Brown shares his ideas about
the Bible, Jesus Christ, Moses, and different religious beliefs...well,
I will leave that to the pleasure of your discovery when you read this
work!

One more note for those who believe that they are consciously in touch
with spirit world. Reading this book builds up such a light
high-vibrational energy that it may provoke spontaneous communication
session, especially if you need to get a word from beyond. It happened
to me, it might happen to you!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Gift of Mediumship Explained, April 5, 2003
If you understand the clairvoyant type of mediumship, you'll appreciate this book. If you don't understand it, you'll still appreciate it, assuming you have an open mind and want to understand. If you are closed-minded, don't bother. You'll be wasting your money.

The author is an experienced British clairvoyant medium, apparently being to Great Britain what John Edward and James Van Praagh are to the United States. In fact, both Edward and Van Praagh endorse the book with words of praise.

Brown begins by explaining how he was transformed from a skeptical teenager to a professional medium. He went along with a friend to a clairvoyant demonstration in London, believing he would be able to expose the medium as a charlatan. However, when a deceased uncle came through with very evidential information, some of which Brown didn't know until confirming it with his mother, he began to believe there might be something to it. He continued to investigate and soon realized that he had clairvoyant abilities. He attended classes and developed his ability to communicate with the spirit world.

Brown relates much of what he has learned from the spirit world about such things as suicide, premature deaths, the physically challenged, religion, pets, and various aspects of the afterlife. He explains many aspects of mediumship, including the difference between objective and subjective clairvoyance. "The key word for all mediums is vibration," Brown offers. "Essentially, a medium is one who changes the vibration of his or her beta body." He goes on to explain how mediums can train themselves to adjust their frequency and tune into the spirit world like a radio signal looking for a signal.

One question often put to Brown has to do with the location of the spirit world. "Where is the Internet?" is his usual reply.

The book concludes with two interesting first-person accounts of sittings with Brown. The appendix gives advice on how readers can attempt to tune in to the spirit world.

I've read the books by Edward, Van Praagh, and George Anderson. This one ranks right up there with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars We ARE Eternal!!!, December 2, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Robert Brown is a phychic sensitive who shares what he's learned about life & so-called "death" in his book "We Are Eternal".

He begins by discussing his "early years" - including the fact that he started off as a "certified skeptic" - with his original goal being to prove the non-existence of psychic abilities. From this point, he shows how & why his views changed, as well as when he realized that he actually had this gift that could be used to help others in so many wonderful ways...

Mr. Brown then goes on to discuss what he's learned over the years regarding various "major" life topics, such as:

Suicide - you can't run away from anything, even through death.

Death of Children - there is a "reason"

Disease - the need to maintain positive thoughts, the damage of prolonged negative thoughts, and the need for there to be a balance between the body & the spirit

Disabilities - we all have the "right" body for our mission

Religion - it's time for people to move away from "blind" faith, and return to their spiritual roots. He also discusses the good and the bad of some of the world's largest religions.

Some of the other topics discussed include: pets, reincarnation, karma, life after "death", and what happens to "evil" people.

Overall, I found this to be an easy, interesting read. As such, I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in spirituality &/or the "paranormal". An open mind is a must!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Am Grateful for WE ARE ETERNAL, May 21, 2003

This book is a compelling read from start to finish. Brown's sincere and compelling personal voice takes the reader on an astonishing journey as the author shares his insights and observations of life after death --- a journey he started many years ago in the United Kingdom.

I've had the pleasure of meeting the author and witnessing the abilities he describes first-hand. One major plus for this five-star talent is that there was no ghost-writer for this book (no pun intended). Robert Brown dazzles the reader with specific data and insights like no other before him. We are lucky this book was published and that Brown's insights and accomplishments have finally become a part of historic record.

Thank you, Robert, for all!

5.0 out of 5 stars A gifted spiritual teacher, May 18, 2003
By

I was unfamiliar with Robert Brown and only found out about him while trying to aquire tickets to a John Edward workshop in Las Vegas back in February of this year. Suzanne Northrup and Robert Brown were speakers along with John Edward. Well, unfortunately, I couldn't get tickets but was linked to Robert Brown's website. I saw that he was giving private readings in Torrance, CA at the Spiritual Healing & Energy Center and I figured, well, if he's working with John Edward and Suzanne Northrup, he must be legitimate. To my surprise, I got an appointment for a personal reading while at the same time saw that Robert had an upcoming book he was releasing. Well, I bought the book as soon as it was available and could not put it down. It was so fascinating, comforting and confirming of what I have felt all my life. I was all the more excited to meet Mr. Brown, who did not disappoint. He is truly a gifted medium and counselor. I am thankful for the opportunity to have met him and am grateful for these teachers who are coming out to let us know that "We Are Eternal". Our loved ones are still with us, loving us, giving us comfort and support, confirming God's everlasting love and guidance. We only have to think and pray and they are there. Thank you again Robert for confirming that although they have crossed over, my Grandmother and Father-in-law continue to be part of my life. You helped to give me strength and confidence to trust my feelings and listen to my inner voice. Robert Brown's book is truly inspiring, it will be a book I will share with many of my friends. I look forward to more books from this inspiring teacher and if I'm so fortunate, more private readings!

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring and Thought Provoking!!, May 27, 2003

Robert Brown has written an informative and entertaining book about mediumship. It was interesting to read about the different ways that spirits try to contact "ordinary" people and recognize that some of these experiences have happened to me. The exercises for meditation and psychic development were easy to follow and enlightening. Reading about Robert's personal life and spiritual development was oftentimes humorous and touching. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in communication with loved ones who have passed on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual insight that will inspire all, February 13, 2004
By
Kevin A. Chavis (Minneapolis, MN United States) - See all my reviews

Why must you read this book? Because Robert Brown answers some amazing questions we all have asked from a religious or spiritual perspective:
-What happens to us when we die?
-What happens if you commit suicide or have a child who dies early?
-What happens to those who commit horrible atrocities on others (i.e. murder)?
-What role does religion play in the spirit world?

Many spiritual laws are mentioned, though not all at once - but some ,such as the Karma, are explained .

Most of the book goes into extensive detail on what a medium is, does , and how he became one. The appendix is written solely for those wishing to pursue this spiritual journey. Though not everyone is meant to be a medium, this book sheds enormous light on what one truly is.

The overall message is clear: we are eternal and have a purpose here on Earth we must achieve for our limitless spiritual growth.

Anyone interested in learning spiritual truths will learn much from the knowledge gathered by Robert Brown(through his work as a medium).

5.0 out of 5 stars Down to Earth Practicality of a Heavenly Nature, October 12, 2003
By
"jmr4fr" (Placentia, ca United States) - See all my reviews
We are Eternal gives us an understanding of our reality as we journey through life. Robert answers the questions we all ask about the continuity of life after death. The book is so fascinating that I could not put it down. It contains so many insights that I read sections of it over again.
Robert's psychic experiences began at a very young age when he saw the face of his deceased Uncle at an apartment window, which was 5 stories high. Yet, even after hearing and seeing spiritualist demonstrations, Robert remained a scientific skeptic. Follow Robert through his spiritual adventures, as he became a believer.
It took Robert many years of training to develop as a top medium. He discusses spiritual development circles and his strict teacher Ivy Northage. Like developing any skill, mediumship takes patience, practice and great teachers. Just like becoming a famous athlete, one has to have a knowledgeable coach to help them become a medium. So into Robert's life, spirit led Peter Close, a famous medium (who previously had been a London police officer for thirty years). Peter guided Robert through his continuing development.
Robert gives one practical advice and exercises to develop one's own sensitivities. He gives sample meditations, discusses the charkas, psychometry, clairvoyance, and other helpful methods. But one of the key questions to ask yourself in developing mediumship is if you desire to be of service to mankind.
The death of his friend, Sean, who in Spirit visited Robert, is both comforting and knowledgeable.
Also, pets can communicate after they have made their transition. Read the book to find out about the recorded mysterious bark.
I highly recommend Robert's book to all of us who are concerned about the deeper meanings of eternal life. Like an Internet system, we are all connected to Eternal Spirit.

5.0 out of 5 stars From a Former Skeptic, March 13, 2003

I originally felt no great reason to read this book. As I did read it , I realized that Robert Brown is an extremely gifted man who has a profound understanding of mediumship but at the same time feels the wonder of it all. That would be the main reason to purchase this book and to enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Spiritual Discussion!!, March 5, 2003
By
Patricia H. Woods (Bridgewater, NJ USA) - See all my reviews
Robert Browns discussion of communicating with spirit is the best book I've read on this subject from modern times. He answers current and common questions that all folks have, and that new mediums and psychics have as well. He is honest about his own discoveries and personal experiences in development, and offers great suggestions for those considering it. And, most important, to me as another working medium, although he discusses that he has read for royalty and famous folks (he is the mediums medium - reading for John Edward and James Van Prague), he keeps the content of the reading private; which all the more demonstrates his integrity. If you have even any small curiousity about spirit communication, and want a fast paced well written humorful way to understand it, get this book.
