5.0 out of 5 stars Brutal, and the CD is mixed MUCH better than C.O.G, June 16, 2008
This review is from: We Are the Nightmare (Bonus Dvd) (Audio CD)
Firstly, this CD is pretty much non-stop hard riffs, "My Oath to Madness" is my favorite, awesome blend of heavy riffs, speed, and the chorus is really catchy. A little bit of more gutteral death metal vocals can be heard, but it is mostly the usual harsh, higher vocals in most of the songs (which I like the best). But best of all, this CD was mixed perfectly. I found that when listening to Celebration of Guilt, there was way too much emphasis put on the bass and drums. I have a standard subwoofer in my car and the bass was just overpowering. You couldn't hear the vocals and the guitar was muffled, it was a storm of cymbals and double bass. On the other hand, "We are the Nightmare" is perfect. The drums are crisp, and the guitar and vocals are prominent. This CD sounds incredible, there is no filler in any of the songs. Just straight up Arsis technical death that can't be beat!

5.0 out of 5 stars Minds That Know Wizardry, May 23, 2008
This review is from: We Are the Nightmare (Bonus Dvd) (Audio CD)
To be honest, I never owned an album by Arsis 'till today. I bought it at the local FYE. I have to admit. I'm highly impressed with it! The guitart work is uncanny and stealth-like. You can't tell what the next melody will ever be. It's a bit blunt and such but nontheless, It's a fine fine album. This album for me sound likes someone put SOD, Slayer, and Dark Tranquility in a food processor. LMAO, And it taste damn good. "We Are The Nightmare" is unpredictable technical thrash/death metal. If That makes sense for you genre-mongors out there. Kidding.

I recommend this to fans of The Black Dahlia Murder and such. Great Album!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, April 21, 2008
This review is from: We Are the Nightmare (Bonus Dvd) (Audio CD)
Phenomenal CD. Just what you'd expect from people who created A Celebration of Guilt. Just like the first album, it just grabs you and won't let go. If you thought that ACOG was the best thing that happened to metal since the Slaughter of the Soul, get this.
