This is an amazing collection of absolutely suburb photographs by the man who appears to have been the unofficial photographer of the American Indian Movement for decades. It really is a documentary about the history of Native Americans. This is American history. And the narration simply adds to the value of this wonderful book. After seeing this volume the first time, I immediately purchased enough to give to all of my children and grandchildren. Not to be missed!

See the American Indian Movement from the eyes of those within the movement. The photographs take you back to this time and the courage and resiliency of those in it. For many Americans, they do not yet understand this movement. This is a must review for college history and sociological courses and AP high school history courses.

You will understand the movement in a way that up until now only American Indians have.

Great book, beautiful pictures. Not many books about AIM and this one is very up close and personal, instead of just a run down on the major incidents of AIM.
