Absolutely love it! MeTalkPretty has to be the best up and coming band out there. This is a MUST download, and its cheaper to purchase it here than through iTunes!

This is the first half of MeTalkPretty's label debut release. With a full production team behind them to tighten up the songs and layer and develop the sound, and a solid year of writing to develop some great ideas, this album will BLOW YOU AWAY. If you don't think this will be a great release, why don't you check out the studio diaries they filmed, starting here: [...]This half of the album is kind of the darker, less dancey half, although they never have and still don't get so dark as to be depressing. There is always hope whether expressed lyrically or musically. Anyone who has played the Sims 3 or NHL 2010 knows Wake Up, and the story behind it is described and the video is on MTV, so I'll let you check that out as a free intro to the band if you are not familiar with them already. This version, however, is a complete remake, with a different, more epic ending, more layers in both guitars and vocals, and literally dozens of backup vocal tracks from every single band member... even the producer! They turned this one up to 11! I'm going to skip forward one track because Brokenhearted is a real stand-out. Probably their best bet for commercial radio play, and that's not to say that it's watered-down pop. In terms of approach, it reminds me most of No Doubt's big hit Don't Speak. Emotional performance pervades the whole band on this one. Vocals that make your heart bleed. Guitar melodies that make your soul cry. And of course, a solid but not overwhelming foundation built by the driving, sometimes danceable drum beat and bass line. Amazing transitions among verses, choruses, and bridges just make this song flow through you, leaving only emotion behind. There have been days where I've listened to this song literally a dozen times, it's just THAT good! Love Is in the Air hits you hard and keeps going. Really energetic, and it WILL get you pumped up to have a fun time on a summer day. Say You Will is another tearjerker. A little softer, but with a thick bass line, and deep lyrics. Soaring vocals placed at the forefront get the story of a couple getting through the mistakes they've made and letting their love last forever. Finally, Why Are You Here is a plodding, fierce mid-tempo rocker that showcases the powerful side of singer Julia Preotu's voice. The guitars also showcase a special aspect of Leon Lyazidi's abilities, almost verging on experimental post-rock, but still staying grounded between the strong beats James Kluz pounds out somewhat sparsely, but precisely and deliberately. Nate Meng's bass is barely discernible, but is the glue that holds these powerful forces together. This song will leave you hungry for more... And trust me, I've heard the rest of the songs and they DO NOT disappoint! (Those of you familiar with the band may have heard the more upbeat numbers Hello Hello and Keep Waiting, which are two of the upcoming tracks on the other half. But even you should be ready for some surprises!)
