If Kindle ever gets to a touch screen, and the program is modified for that, then obviously the the navigation will work well.

I am not the type to review products but after downloading a couple of different type of scriptures on both the Nook and the Kindle I decided to gamble and get the more expensive version and it is worth it! all the scriptures right there, the ability to pick a certain verse and a major plus, footnotes! It has the footnote underlined you select it and it takes you to the scriptures or definitions that correspond. So far it is absolutely worth the money, I attempted to search out scriptures with our Nook and it didn't work at all so I"m excited to try with this version!

An excellent reference book for writing talks, preparing lessons, or researching Gospel topics. "We Believe" contains the writing of modern-day LDS prophets and apostles (as well as scriptures) organized by topic (such as Prayer, Revelation, Apostacy, Priesthood, etc.)

The soft-back version of this book is a handy hand-held reference book. The format is topical, with several quotes elaborating on the various headings. It is a rather straightforward topical study of the gospel. Brother Burton rotates the speakers. So unlike "Mormon Doctrine," the brainchild of Elder Bruce R. McConkie, it is not just one voice, but also many voices. He has quotes from all parts of this dispensation, and also includes citations from the scriptures, making the book complete and powerful.
Testimonial: A friend of mine who was a counselor at Especially For Youth (a youth summer camp like Vacation bible School), said that another one of the counselors used this book to help resolve the questions of one of the attendees. That makes it worth the bother of compiling and publishing.
This book is quite user friendly. I was really impressed with the cross-referencing of topics. The Savior "expounded all the scriptures in one" (3 Nephi 23:14), and this unity is key to understanding the gospel. I have been using it a lot since becoming an instructor in my church's Elder's class.
The cover is nice and attractive. The marble pattern makes the book look like a bank: solid, authoritative and assuring. The printing quality is good: there is no fading and I have yet to find a typo. I also like the cover font and design, which are appropriate with out being gaudy or garish.
The hardbound edition also comes with the book on CD-ROM, for easier access.

I have used this publication for several weeks now. It is very complete in all aspects. My only complaint is that with Kindle, it's not easy to navigate when in a classroom environment, where one has to go from scripture to scripture. It can be done, but not sufficiently fast enough to stay with the class as far as my talents go. I have another scripture program on my iPod touch, and the navigation there is much easier. If Kindle ever gets to a touch screen, and the program is modified for that, then obviously the the navigation will work well.

For general reading where navigation isn't an issue, I like my Kindle very much. I find I'm doing much more reading, able to have 2 or 3 book going at the same time.

The content is wonderful. The scriptures are fully linked with footnotes, etc. It took a very long time to index. I decided it wouldn't index and contacted amazon for a refund. Before the refund came through, it finally indexed successfully. It's a great kindle book, but I think it's priced a little high. $19.99 would be more reasonable for what you get.

I've had this set on CD for the past fifteen years or so, as part of an LDS Collector's Library set.

The hard back set is rather expensive.

The set offered here is, in my opinion, well worth the money.

I have to confess to wondering why it is that some assume that because a book is accessable via e-book, then the price should drop until it's almost free.

$29.99 for a book that would cost many times that were you to get it in hard copy doesn't seem that expensive; particularly when you get a refernce set like this that links with the Standard Works.

For a student of the gospel, this set is a valuable tool in linking up the statements of the presiding authorities of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with the Scriptures. This set has been an invaluable tool for me personaly, as I've prepared to teach lessons, and as I've been doing some study into the doctrines of the kindgom.

Given the wealth of knowledge that this set contains, it should be a welcome addition to any library.

Again, the price should not be a consideration here, given the cost that the same set would be if you were to have it on your book shelf.
