I wouldn't doubt it,
By U.F.O. nut (nowhere) - See all my reviews
This review is from: We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon (Paperback)
George Adamski claimed in the 50's that he saw trees and rivers on the moon. Now, decades after he allegedly visited there, there are NASA photos which partly corroborate what he said: the pictures show green blotchy areas inside meteor craters... hmm, what could that be? And especially interesting are the pictures of "tracks" on the moon, which clearly seem to be artificially produced-- possibly some sort of mining operation by the aliens. Further, there are countless photos of domes and other strange complex on the lunar surface. Thus, the evidence is in the photos, so it's up to you to decide whether or not you believe in them.Every serious UFO researcher should own this book. For more information I recommend Alien Agenda by Jim Marrs and Martian Genesis by Herbie Brennan.

An amazing book offering evidence of lunar habitation,

This review is from: We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon (Paperback)
this book that will undoubtedly be forever overlooked by mainstream scientists has much to offer those willing to suspend years of disinformation by NASA (Actually more of a military org. than some batch of idealistic scientists). It offers compelling photos of an entirely different lunar enviroment and even picures of UFO's on the moon. A great book.

The Best Book Since sliced Bread,

This book although claimed to be de bunked has not recieved any de bunking at all from the person below who failed to de bunk it successfully even to me by email. The fotos are what they claim to be and NASA has made sure no one can check them by re publishing the fotos at such a small scale that nothing is visible. l have had a high power telescope in operation checking the pictures and found them all (the ones visible on this side of the moon) totally orthentic. They are there all right, the ets. and they are also on planet earth. Most de bunkers are in actual fact et's who do not want you to know they are here or are affiliated with the cover up of this fact.

Very few people put any trust in NASA, so it's very possible what this guy is saying is true.

Scepticism,

This review is from: We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon (Paperback)
I became interested on this book after i heard a recorded radio interview given by the author. As i was already interested on the issue, i bought this book in order to gather more info. In fact to see the author's point of view, and to satisfy my curiosity especially about the relatively big amount of photos. From my point of view, this is not just another book. It does indeed contain some interesting data that in my opinion(without being expert in any kind of science that could possibly prove or not the genuinity of the evidence)deserve to be sientifically approached and explained. I can only conclude that one has to be sceptic when dealing with issues such as the one discribed in the book regardless the enthousiasm that may be present. In the end, the question that really matters is "what is it that we can do with this piece of information, how can it be used". Because it is a different thing to actually have a certain knowledge, and to be able to apply it in every-day life and its extentions.

Life on the moon? Of course....,

This review is from: We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon (Paperback)
This was an excellent book. What I really liked is the fact that almost everything was "new" to me. Other books just repeat older books and then there is little to learn. I can really recommand this book to all people with an open mind.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon (Paperback)
Even if you discredit the UFO reports, which you should not, there is a tremendous amount of scientifically verifiable evidence that you have likely not ever heard before. How was the Moon's gravity calculated? Turns out it is 64% of the earths, not less than 20%. It has a light atmosphere. It has plenty of water. It has a mild magnetic field. We were told none of this for years. Why? What were they hiding or are they truly incompetent scientists? More such facts revealed about other planets. Many photographs included with fascinating revelations. I was skeptical when I bought this. Remaining skeptical would be impossible now. You must get this book for so many reasons, beyond mere conspiracy theories. I had to read it in 2 weeks. That's fast for me. Its hard to put down.

I requested this book through interlibrary loan recently and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived at my library. Fred Steckling comes across as a man who was genuinely trying to learn the truth about the moon and reveal it to the extent possible. He had limited means available to him, and most of the pictures reflect that. Some of them are almost outrageously speculative. However, there are some compelling ones; for example, the two NASA images of the object making tracks on the moon. One of those pictures can be found on page 236 of the February 1969 National Geographic, which featured a special article about the moon, with plenty of Lunar Orbiter photos. Another compelling image is a blow-up of a suspiciously perfect crater with a rectangular object exactly perpendicular to it.
A fun thing to do is to use the photo information he provides and check up on his work. There's a really great site that has an archive of the Lunar Orbiter mission photos, for example. And those photos are incredibly clear and detailed. There are indeed many oddities in these photos that are there for anyone to see. Steckling makes clear right from the start that he doesn't want to humiliate or disparage NASA or anyone else, but to simply present his conclusions based on personal observations and those of others willing to talk about the issue. I think Steckling was thoughtful and visionary and a "good guy" in the UFO field. The book has a good bibliography for those interested in further research. Many of the items are out of print and have limited availability. In at least one case, that is a very good thing! One of the items is an utter piece of trash called Alternative 3. I was curious about it, so I got it through interlibrary loan. It's awful in many ways, but the three main problems are: there is no disclaimer or introduction telling you about the authors and what exactly the book intends to do and why, the writing itself is a woeful mix of nonfiction and fiction with no obvious separation of the two, and there is no index or table of contents. I couldn't even get through it all, it was so atrocious. So stay away from that one, please. And this is coming from someone who's curious about weirdo stuff! Check out a 1983 radio interview with Steckling available on youtube. Just type in "Steckling interview" and you'll see it pop up; it's in several segments and well worth listening to!

Garbage In, Garbage Out.,
By Edward Lopez (The Big Apple, NYC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon (Paperback)
I'm the person who shamed Fred on the old Bill Jenkins radio show "Open Mind" on KABC in L.A. in the early 1980s. I also have the letter from Fred acknowledging that I proved at least 50% (HIS figure, mine's higher!) of his photographic claims to be wishful thinking and the result of REAL poor "research." This book is a waste of time as it just shows how foolish humans can get when they let their imagination run away. Later, Childress came out with a book with "Fred's" photos without Fred's silly captions. Anyone with a clear mind and appropriate NASA photo "journals" can see for themselves what a fool Steckling was and now his son carries on the same as Marcel of Roswell fame. Hey, it's the money, right? Can't be anything else 'cause there's NOTHING else. Extraordinary claims require proof and Steckling never got near the proof. Don't bother. Sorry, Amazon, but this one's a loser. Please don't offer it to the gullible, who is the only audience for this stuff. I've done more research into Steckling's photos than anyone else and one of these days I'll embarrass Steckling's son by publishing my findings. I welcome any e-mail, pro and con. Unlike Steckling, I can back up MY claims!
