» Levitz Furniture as a brand, connotes positive emotions and in many instances, positive memories. The first dining room set you and your spouse purchased as newly weds, was probably from Levitz, or your first living room set. Before the corporate take over of the company and subsequent bankruptcies in the mid 80¡¦s, Levitz was a strong brand reinforced by a strong ad campaign.
"You'll Love It At Levitz", had a 20+ year run starting in 1971, and is perhaps one of the most familiar slogans and ad campaigns in America¡¦s post-industrial era. But a strong ad campaign alone will not deliver brand recognition amongst consumers beyond the lifespan of any company. Business in the today¡¦s global interactive age is much different from business in the 1970¡¦s. But many times the recipe for success for a company in any industry and in any era, relies heavily on the foundation from which the company was built.
Written and published during Levitz's golden era of commercial and financial success, "We Do It Everyday" gives insight on the ideals and ethics of a family business that withstood the test of time and has created a ripe positioned for future opportunities.
