5.0 out of 5 stars I'll eat this up! November 4, 2011

This song is amazing. James Vincent McMorrow sounds an awful lot like John Mayer, even in his vocal affectations, but there is a sadness that is evoked here that is out of Mayer's grasp. I totally understand the comparisons made to Ray LaMontagne, for he captures a similar homeliness that is as comforting as it is effecting. There is so much emotion in his voice, something he conveys in every word sung. I love the way that James builds such a soft and subtle rise and fall here, something that builds within your chest as he slowly elevates his vocal delivery and the musical arrangement ups its pace, ever so slightly, to the point where the whole emotional makeup of the song is shifting before your very ears. His vocals are stellar and simply haunting. That last chorus is executed flawlessly, swelling in your ears with the satisfaction of a complete payoff.

I'm devour any and everything he releases!

4.0 out of 5 stars Beauty in Simplicity November 16, 2011
This is a very touching song, poignant lyrics, understated but effective production. It has a gentle sort of power. The song has a way of getting to you, both through the music and the poetic lyrics. I also liked Mcmorrow's bluesy sounding vocal, very well suited for this song.
