It's really the best thing I can say about this album, me being a B.G. fan, I was highly anticipating this release, I was also highly disappointed. I agree alot of the beats on here are straight up annoying. Repeted synths and bass added in, that's basically what you'll hear on this cd. There are some exceptions, as I said, I was really anticipating this cd, mostly because of their hot, even "classic" single, Make Em' Mad. Although some of the songs are pretty good, if you're a fan of Southern rap, Make Em' Mad is by far THE BEST song on here. Lyrically I wasn't expecting much and not much is what I got, Hakim in my opinion is the weakest link and even though the others are ok rappers and standout at times (VL, Snype) (a fan of Hip-Hop will not be impressed) they are nothing special. I can think of a thousand better rappers than these clowns. Still got mad love for B.G. though, this cd is gangsta rap, disrespectful and clueless hustlin' music. So if you're not a fan of gangsta rap in particular, or are not a hustler, than don't buy this.
I recommend this to fans of Southern rap, it's not crunk. If you like that New Orleans sound there is an abundance of it, on the other hand, fans of Hip-Hop and even B.G. might want to turn the page on this one, the Boyz are not on Gizzle's level. I suggest downloading, they're already making illegal money anyway, you can tell.

This cd is more of a 2 or 2.5, but not a 5 like the other reviewers are says. I just gave it a one to move the rating to the right position. This album has three or four good tracks and the rest are uninspired songs you might find on a mixtape. I like BG, but this album is pretty bad. He needs to get some songs with actual concepts besides choppers, drug dealing, and sex. I was hoping this cd would be good after hearing "Make Em Mad", but sadly, it is not. Wait for Young Bucks album

Rappers are always trying to put on their crews but not everybody is a star. Even though their are a few crew albums that are good, Chopper City Boyz We Got This is not one of them. I Understand BG trying to look out for his people but they are nothing to write home about. The only one there might be hope for is Gar. If he works on his style he might have potential...maybe. BG's brother Hakim(aka Hakizzle) is garbage, Sniper is wack and even though I said there might be hope for Gar, his performance on here was weak. Now for the million dollar question: Is VL Mike Plies or is Plies VL Mike(get it?)? His style of rapping and Plies are identical(plus they both rap about the same BS). Dont believe me? Check out his solo joint on here called It's Real. Every member of The Chopper City Boyz has a solo joint which makes it easy to critique them. Remember in th beginning I said that Bg's brother Hakim was garbage? His solo joint, Crucial S*** proves my point perfectly. The awful beat and his groggy vocals will lull you to sleep. There is also a problem of chemistry in this group. Each member sounds like they just toss their verses in a song with no cohisiveness. This is not to say that this album doesnt have any good songs. After a very stupid intro by Ziggy Wiggler, one of the best tracks shows up in the form of Taking Over. Thorough Street N**** and Shake Em Off are good. Even though the beat is kind of goofy, Going On is cool and All Eyes On Me is okay. But those songs are countered by straight garbage tracks like Flatliners, It's Real, Chopper City, Heart Of A Killer, Bounce and Knuckle Up. Chopper City Boyz also fail at making songs for the ladies as evidenced in Never Had(feat Mercedes) and What I Like About Her. What I Like About Her sounds like the type of song Juvenile would make(it has the same formula as Mama Got A**) and while Never Had is a level higher than What I Like About Her, its still forgettable. Their first single Make Em Mad is also forgettable as BG has the only notable verse on the whole track plus the beat(provided by David Banner) sounds vaguely similar to David Baner's Bloody War(listen to it carefully) Bonus tracks: All My N***** has a weak hook as well as a weak beat and even though BG's verse was okay, the rest of the crew weighed that track down. Chopper City Boys is all around garbage. Wack lyrics, wack beat, just wack period. My Block is decent. Its a chick record that actually works. Bottom Line: We Got This is a stain on BG's credibility. His crew doesnt have what it takes to make a good album plus contrary to popular belief, I doubt BG could have saved Knuckle Up, Bounce and Flatliners from being a total waste. Even if you're a BG fan, I strongly reccomend that you renege on this one. Standout Tracks; TAKING OVER, THOROUGH STREET N****, GOING ON, SHAKE EM OFF, ALL EYES ON ME and MY BLOCK.
