Amazing,

I saw Lisa at the Roxy in L.A. back in '09. There were two bands before her that I 'kind of' listened to. When Lisa came on, I put down my drink, walked to the the front of the stage, and just watched and listened in awe.
She is amazing. Period. If there are any negative comments it is that more people don't know about her.

Lisa Donnelly debut,
By Paul (L.A., CA) - See all my reviews

Lisa Donnelly's debut album is the breakout of a young singer-songwriter who's been paying her dues; Lisa's spent the better part of decade and working into and through the music business southern Califonria to get to this point.
Produced & backed by Rob Giles with an impressive array of experienced and international musicians, with some tracks also reflecting the writing of Rich Jacques and Kevin Hunter. During the album release show at the Roxy in Hollywood, Lisa and her large band performed all the tunes on this album and more in a wide-ranging stage show that had the crowd on their feet all night. (Or was it just that the Roxy doesn't have any seats?) This fall she's touring with a smaller band to club dates throughout the western US: don't miss them when they come to your town. The album is a "definitely recommend".

Not many may be familiar with the LA-based artist, and more's the pity for that--she's clearly got some chops. She has a lovely voice and a real talent for songwriting. A musical chameleon, she in turn evokes artists like Sarah MacLachlan in "Let Go That Weight" "Blue", Julie Gribble ("Naturally"), and perhaps a slightly more haunted Sheryl Crow in the sad, melodic "Stuck in a Rut". But make no mistake - each of these pieces is undeniably Miss Donnelly's own, the art of an accomplished young composer and singer working at a high level.

I heard Lisa perform live on the Pretty Good Podcast. She was AMAZING! The second after the show was over I was searching online for her and hoping she had an album out there. I'm not a music critic....I just like music, and this is very well done. Thank you Lisa for putting a most awesome product out there! Continue to do so please!
