This CD is the very best street-style acappella gospel album I have come across. In the same vein as Take 6, this group stretches the definition of vocal harmony to reflect the true use of the voice as an instrument.

From a formal perspective, the song selections reflect numerous vocal patterns and styles of harmony; this prevents monotony and truly showcases the talents of these singers. From true gospel to Reggae, from suspended 9ths to multiple modulations, this album mixes it up and has you wondering how they managed to follow their own charts.

While the group itself has gone through numerous iterations and thus each album reflects a change in personnel, this album truly reflects the best of the concept and contained the most talented group.

This CD is recommended for fans of vocals or fans of gospel. You'll find yourself trying to sing along, trying to grab a harmony and following along. And so what if you're off a note or two? This is good time music. enjoy it.

I have six of Acappella's albums, and this one is definately their best. Acappella's style is very positive and uplifting, and their concerts are fun to go to as well. I have never heard anything quite like them. If your're going to buy something Acappella, buy this Album!

Acapella is a new phenomenon for me. I had not known it existed, but I borrowed this CD from the library and had it memorized before I returned it. I have a low alto voice, but still enjoyed learning the different parts. The CD is nicely done, with the different parts on different tracks. My son (16, in High School Choir) and I enjoyed turning up the various tracks to isolate single voices to learn the different parts. "How'd they do that?", we kept wondering. "Did they really make all those noises with their mouths and body parts?" I think they did. I was especially pleased to learn that the music appealed to him, too. It was one of the few I have that he doesn't ask to turn off when he gets in the car.

I don't have all of the Acappella CDs but I highly recommend this one for beginners. I also have the "greatest hits" which I also enjoy very much.

I think this music would be a hit to try to re-do at church - something that would appeal to the young folks without driving the elder ones mad - and something all may enjoy! I would love to have Acappella come visit our church - or help us with a Habitat for Humanity benefit some day.

WITH LYRICS LIKE "THANK YOU JESUS FOR LOVING ME STILL ,WAYS THAT WE CANNOT MEASURE, GIVE ME COURAGE FOR DOING YOUR WILL, SEARVING YOU IS A PLEASURE" FROM _I UNDERSTAND_ YOU CAN JUST PRAISE GOD FOR HIS WONDERFUL GRACE AND MERCY. TYPICAL ACAPPELLA THIS ALBUM MAKES YOU WANT TO SING AND SHOUT GODS PRAISE. THIS CD WILL RAISE ANYONES SPIRIT. MY 4 YEAROLD DAUGHTER EVEN LOVES IT. THIS ALBUM IS A MIX OF ACAPPELLA'S UPBEAT RYTHMS AND HARMONY AND TENDER WORSHIP BALLADS. THE TITLE TRACK ALONE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU MAY SPEND ON THIS ALBUM. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF IN THE MIDST OF PRAYER JUST SINGING ALONG WITH THE MUSIC. ITS A MUST HAVE FOR BUILDING A GREAT PRAISE AND WORSHIP MUSIC COLLECTION.

This is a great group and the music (vocals and lyrics) are well worth listening to and using as a praise instrument for worship. Okay a song can sound good and great but the song isn't worth much unless the lyrics are just as well. None of that repetition (i.e. Jesus, Jesus said over like 100 times). Scriptually based. I've used most of these songs in youth activities and games. One game: Swords Up! As the song is playing participants are to find the scripture quoted in the song or a related Bible text that the song may make reference to.

I love anything that has to do with Acappella. To me they have the best melodys and they harmonize so well its crazy. The cd was in good condition and i love it. Thank you so much for having it.

This was the first gospel CD I ever owned. I had never heard of the group, although I grew up listening to acappella gospel. I love the various types of songs, from soft melodies to songs like "Talk to Jah." Set Me Free is also a great CD by the group.

Acappella succeeds once again at praising the Lord. This is one of my favorite Acappella CDs of all time. Songs like, How Can I Truly Say, describe the group's everlasting quest to glorify God. With the help of amazing harmonies, such as, To Him Who Sits On the Throne, Acappella scores another hit.
