Another tough issue explored with a deft touch,
By Erika Soeterik (Auckland, New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: We Have to Talk (Turning Seventeen) (Mass Market Paperback)
Erin has always felt really close to her Aunt Joyce - so close that she could be a big sister or another mom. When she hears that Aunt Joyce is coming to stay Erin is really excited. Then Erin hears her mother and Joyce fighting - and she is sure that she heard her name in the middle of the fight. What is happening to her happy family - why are the people she loves arguing about her? Erin has to find the answer to this puzzle - can her friends help her when she needs them the most? Friendhsip and family are explored beautifully in this compelling novel. I found it hard to put down and read it in one session.
