As of this date, on the Amazon website there are 3039 reviews posted for the book, THE DA VINCI CODE; 900 reviews posted for the compact disc, 'The Marshall Mathers Lp' by EMINEM; 48 reviews for LAW & ORDER - The First Season DVD set; and 13 postings on QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY, a DVD that doesn't even exist yet. But WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS, the late Congressman Lawrence McDonald's exceptional analysis of the U.S. Constitution has been entirely ignored until now. I can't say that this surprises me, nor can I say how this nauseates me, because there are no words to describe the depth of my disgust! This comparison paints a perfect portrait of America 2005! If anybody should EVER happen to read this : I think we're all alone in the world, you and I.

If you've actually read the U.S.Constitution and come away thinking it was an enigma because American legislation doesn't seem to jibe with what you read, you can be sure that there's nothing wrong with your powers of comprehension. It's just that our entire way of life is now unconstitutional, meanwhile the dogs of Socialism run freely through our house, howling.

"The American constitutional system was not perfect," says McDonald, "but it was the most nearly perfect political arrangement ever devised by men." Notice how he speaks in the past tense. "The United States is a nation governed by those who believe that more government is the solution to mankind's problems. In seeking 'solutions' they often ignore the law of the land - the United States Constitution, a document they swore to uphold. . . What is the proposed solution? More government, additional tax revenue, and fewer liberties. . . Unconstitutional United States Supreme Court rulings have enthusiastically approved each violation of the law of our land.

About a very intelligent man who was a giver not a taker, in every sense. A man who had a great love for his country and his fellow man. A man who may have given his life to his country and was shot down by those who were and still are bent on destroying the America he loved, RIP Dr. McDonald

We Hold These Truths: A Reverent Review of the U.S. Constitution should be REQUIRED reading for all U.S. high school seniors, all college freshmen, and all Professional Military Education schools/courses in the Department of Defense. The author of this very informative book, Larry McDonald, was an American Patriot and a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the seventh congressional district of Georgia as a Democrat. He was among the 269 passengers on board Korean Air Lines (KAL) Flight 007 who were murdered by the Russians when it was shot down by Soviet interceptors. A conservative Democrat, he was active in numerous civic organizations and maintained a very conservative voting record in Congress. He was known for his staunch opposition to communism and socialism. He was the second president of the John Birch Society and also a cousin of General George S. Patton. Fortunately for us, he wrote the aforementioned book to educate American voters. His book concisely explains how political correctness and deviating from the Founding Fathers' intent and the words of our U.S. Constitution resulted in our seemingly overwhelming challenges. Quite chilling is how insightful his words are, especially in describing the past, present, and forecasted future destructive influence of elected American liberal-socialist-communist-progressive politicians. He simply, yet thoroughly, explains in his short and to-the-point book how elected officials are destroying America from within and how liberal-socialist-communist-progressives have, over decades, prostituted the intent, through unconstitutional Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, of our Founding Fathers. Again, this is a "must-read" book and very significantly enlightens the reader to what has been and continues to destroy the fabric of our once great Nation.

I haven't actually read this book, but I just wanted to respond to your petition, is there anybody out there...
I'm here.
I love Larry McDonald.
However I'm not so sure it was a missile that was his doom... I'm not so convinced Flight 007 was not forced landed and he was taken captive... evidence seems to suggest that was the case.
I agree entirely with your perspective on the Constitution and America... but if it's any consolation to you, I'm in my twenties... and I care.
