I hunt, process, and eat a lot of venison and am always looking for new ways to prepare it. This book has some great ideas on marinating and seasonings. The recipes using creme cheese, peppers, and other stuff are fun to try. And anything is good wrapped in bacon. There are numerous recipes using a smoker rather than a grill.

Some great recipes here, and some really simple ones that seem to be just 'filler' - venison steak, salt, pepper, cook, eat. Voila! Loads of recipes have bacon in them. Loads. If you don't like bacon, you will have much fewer recipes to choose from in this book.

I do not know how the recipes are, However, my hunter nephews ( in thier 20's) LOVED them, they started reading them right away. Now can they cook?
